One of my favorite Bama players of all time. Contrary to what many on social media say about how BAMA fans felt toward Jalen, he was a beloved player and Bama grad. I remember watching Jalen walk across the stage at graduation , my niece got her MBA at the same ceremony, Jalen got a standing ovation. He showed poise and class after Tua won the national title game and all the classless TV reporter questions on how he felt. Also, the way he handled all the attention after the USC game. He never changed. Yeah, one of my favorites.

Hurts is hard NOT TO LIKE no matter who someone roots for. He's an example to any athlete in any sport of what a competitor should look like in all aspects. The guy is respectful of the game, his teammates, his opponents, coaches, other coaches, works hard, doesn't run his mouth and I could go on. Like Jeff Saturday said this week on ESPN "He's the perfect teammate".

Funny story:
I’ve always enjoyed Daniel Moore’s work, and over the years I’ve assembled a collection of his most famous pieces. Daniel and I became friends when he asked me to do some repair work on one of his prized instruments. When I returned it to him, I refused any payment and told him that it was my gesture of thanks for all of the joy his work has brought me over the years.

Fast forward to this BAMA vs UGA game that Jalen came in for Tua, and sealed the win with that magnificent play. I was driving home from my Dad’s after the game and pulled over to send Daniel an email, because I had a moment of inspiration thinking back on the way Jalen had handled himself with all of the Tua stuff.

My text said,”I know what your next painting is going to be Daniel. What an incredible story of redemption we all just witnessed tonight!” Days later he announced the painting, and when I saw that it was going to be titled “Crimson Redemption” I couldn’t help but imagine that I had something to do with it 😉

After “Crimson Redemption” was released, an unsolicited package from Daniel showed up on my front porch. I opened it up and found, to my surprise…an Artist Proof edition of the print. Of all the ones I own, this print by no means holds the most monetary value…but it’s my most favorite of all because Jalen is my most favorite BAMA player of all time!
My favorite Alabama player of all time. Selfless, Talented and Champion!

Where the land meets the sky
My wife is from Alabama, and an alumnus, and Jalen is her all time favorite player.
I'm not sure how to answer this in a non-bantering way. I still stand on what I say on a self-proclaimed "College Football Expert" like JP. We all have our sentimental favorites and the underdog favorites. I'd like to say that Joey Jones was always my sentimental favorite, but "All-time"? Of course, it's all personal opinions. Of course my cousin, Kenny will always be my biased favorite and the reason that I cheer for the Raiders on Sunday. I would hope that Josh Pate has watched enough Alabama football to come up with a better all-time being that he is in his mid-50s.

I just don't understand your stance. Why must anyone need to come up with a different favorite? I don't care who your favorite is. It does not alter mine. That is the way it works.

I‘m questioning how much Alabama football Josh Pate has actually watched in his lifetime to be a "fan" and formulate his informed opinion. I mean he is an "Expert" on College Football, correct? The original topic is about Josh Pate. Unless, you're Josh Pate?

i think what B1G is saying is that everyone is entitled to their own opinion on a favorite, with their own criteria, and their own time horizon for making the decision on what their favorite is. You have your reasons for yours and nothing I think should change that, even though that player probably wouldn't crack my top 50.

I know what he is saying. I’m not sure he knows what I’m saying. We all have our preferences as I said, but not all of us put out a video on YouTube and get paid for our expertise In the area of College Football! When you are a national figure and you say something like that I need you to quantify that by showing me that you know more about Alabama football prior to 2009!

I'm the Josh Pate video poster.....Hurts is my favorite as well.

Pate has created something from a small start up talking about CFB to being a nationally known CFB personality....most of us would live to have a job based on our passion.

This is not a thread arguing about his favorite player. I posted this because of who he stated his favorite player is.....one of our guys.
