And I"m not fully versed in softball rules, but if a runner runs the entire length of the baseline to first inside the baseline, shouldn't that be an obstruction by the runner. How can the umpires miss such an obvious call? Or, is that legal in softball. If that HR only tied the game, maybe it turns out different.
In Softball it’s anyone’s guess on how it’s going to be called. It’s why baseball went to a green bag. I think a better challenge was if she was out legitimately or if it’s a foul ball. I think challenging interference was the tougher challenge out of the 3 because if you watch baseball and softball enough then you realize that overturned judgment calls are a rarity.

Yeah. Before all of that, the ball bounced off the bat she dropped. I'm assuming that's just part of the field. The girl was so obviously out of the running lane I couldn't believe it wasn't overturned. But we are talking about Oklahoma. I guess they get all the breaks.

Great win tonight. But still can’t shake how it could have been a series win instead of a rubber tomorrow. I was there and what I can tell you is that Patty Gasso ripped Oklahoma’s butts for a good 30 minutes after the game and a lot of colorful language came out. So expect Oklahoma to be playing angry tomorrow

Yeah, I'm watching it now, and, bottom on the 1st, we had a runner on 3rd, 1 out. All we could manage was a weak infield grounder, and a feeble strike out. No runs across. Hopefully the game will get better.

I’m Mr Optimistic but was fully expecting to go 3-6 in these three series’ with LSU OU FLA- so anything better than that and I’m giddy. Super happy for Briski and her performance Sunday. She’s had an up and down year and that was definitely a highlight.

I have to admit, I’m shocked at how this series went. Hopefully, the team turned a corner this weekend, and will play at a higher level the rest of the season. The complete games pitched by Briski on Sunday and Riley tonight were awesome, and just another level from what we’ve seen throughout the season.
I had some tears in my eyes watching the replay of the walkoff HR and team celebration. Congratulations to the ladies. RTR.

I wonder if OU is thinking, hmmm, getting thru the SEC ain't as easy as getting thru the BIG12. I think they were undefeated going into SEC play, now they have 6 losses, all in the SEC.

Maybe, but they don’t seem to have as deep of a lineup as they are used to. I think after 5 years of dominance they finally have a reloading year. I think they are also still haunted by Bahl transferring to Nebraska. Still I would not want to play them in OKC because their bats are liable to come alive later in the year.

Great series win and one I confess I didn't see coming.

So glad to be wrong. Looks like both hitting and pitching are showing some life against good teams.

This is a departure from the past 2-3 years, and I'm glad (if surprised) to see it.

I totally agree, and happy to admit I didn't see this coming. Maybe this team is getting hot at the right time, RTR!

This coupled with the major improvement in the baseball team this year gives me some optimism that they both might make a little noise this year in the postseason.

Wow! A truly special moment in the history of the Rhoads House. Dominant pitching, incredible defense and a clutch hit- recipe for going deep in OKC. Let's hop we continue to build on it and keep taking 2 of 3 over these next few weekends. Couldn't believe Vandagriff didn't go to UGA literally right next door but so glad she didn't.

Her brother played QB there but hit the portal last spring and played at Kentucky last year. Supposedly, he made 1.5 million at UK and didn't start the last couple of games for them. I'm sure there was some bad blood between her family and UGA. She's a player for sure.

BAMA takes game 1 versus Florida. I turned it on with two outs in the top of the first, and BAMA was already up 7-0, with Florida changing pitchers. I don't know how we got 7 runs, but apparently Florida did have a couple of errors in the first inning. Glad we got the win, but I wish we would have added a couple of more runs over the rest of the game. But hey, we took 2/3 from OU, and maybe we can do the same to Florida. The ladies are finding a way to win.

Well, game two, so far, was ugly, got prettier, then got really ugly again. It's the 4th inning. We had spotted Florida a 4-0 lead, then we came back and scored 4 in the top of the 4th to tie things up. But in the bottom of the 4th, we promptly walked the first two batters, then gave up a single, a double etc. Florida has already scored 5 in the bottom of the 4th, and there's only one out. It's 9-4 Florida right now. I think Murphy has given up on this one because he's not going to any front line pitcher. Now two wild pitches have moved the runner on first over to third. Got a pop up for the second out. Well, we got out of it, but just when things were looking promising, we give up a five-spot.

Florida ties the series with a run-rule win in 5 innings over BAMA. Final was 12-4. Florida took a 9-4 lead into the bottom of the 5th. The inning went strike out, single, single, 3 run dinger for the walk off win. The girl that hit it was a freshmen. She already had a solo HR in the first, then a double, then the 3 run HR in the 5th. Riley started the game for us but was not as sharp as she was last weekend and was pulled after a couple of innings.

Just a note, but this is a weird series for BAMA as they only scored in 2 of the 12 innings they have played so far against Florida. They scored 7 in the first inning yesterday, but didn't score again in that game. In today's game we scored 4, but all in the 4th inning. We haven't really shown any major threats other than those two innings.
