So I think Bama is gonna target OL, DE, TE and Punter.

I think we'll hear a commitment today or tomorrow..
We are DEEP at DE with 5 guys competing for a single spot and already brought in two transfers (Collins and Henry) so I'd be pretty surprised to make an add there. We've also got Latham who played this spot last year but is now listed as an OLB but will almost certainly get some game time in this type of role also.

DT/NT on the other hand, would not surprise me. We've only got 2 guys across both those spots who have played any real reps. We're thin enough here that Collins (above) spent time sliding inside (even though playing inside is possibly a reason he left FL) to one of these spots in spring. past that there's a lot of potential, but little to no experience.

We have added an experienced punter during the winter portal:
  • P Blake Doud (Colorado School of Mines)
Plus, added a freshman Asparuhov (N3 HS punter last year). I doubt that we will be looking for a punter

I wouldn't expect to hear much til next week.

The only positions I expect we target, barring suprise losses, are

Tight end- specifically a Y blocking tight end to back up Danny Lewis. Would not expect us in play for an H type or high end receiving TE.

Punter- only real mystery on the team given aspurovs injury over the spring. And not being sure about doud.

DT- saw someone predict and DE but we have a log jam there and things with keely appears to have finally clicked (excited to see him play) kelby collins practiced almost exclusively at dt so that and beamans emergence us some depth. Maybe we look for a depth piece at dt or not but not as big a priority with collins moving inside

OT - we are good at gaurd and the starting tackle spots are spoken for (reports seem to be that formby has stepped up big) olaus has also reportedly looked very good at tackle and Lloyd is much firther along than anyone expected, he will play this year. But depth would be nice.

I would expect any other position none of our spring additions will be big signings and I wouldn't expect us to start any of them barring injuries. Depth depth depth.

I kind of like where we are going into the Summer. Not a bunch of guys bolting to the portal from T-Town so Coach seems to be making this team in his image successfully. Not a lot of hype on us and we are flying under the radar regarding expectations. Just get the feeling we are going to see a way better product on the field in 25 as a team and the offense will be uber aggressive with our new OC.

I don't think we need any DL. I think with Hill, Beaman, Keely, Collins and Renaud adding depth to our starters we are good to go. Maybe an edge pass rusher.

Thinking the staff saw the punting situation not developing like they wanted to this spring and may be looking around. We got spoiled with Burnip.

Im not convinced we NEED one either just a luxury add at a heavy rotational position.

We're very, very deep on the edges compared to inside, especially since we got portal additions in spring for both wolf and bandit (although one bandit might slide inside)

Wolf - Qua, Latham, Pierre, Henry & Carter (Latham and Henry are both possible tweaners who can play Bandit also in some packages)

Bandit - Overton, Collins (could slide inside), Keeley, Renaud, Hill.

Inside across two spots is Keenan and Smith, backed up by Beaman, Faga, and Mboumou.

So 5 guys across 2 roles inside, and 10 guys across 2 roles on the edge.
