I'm going to disagree with someone who said in the Mets series thread that it was a smart move to start Fuentes. We all knew what was going to happen, the young pitcher gave up runs. It was a necessary evil to setup the rotation for the Mets next week but, smart it was not. It just killed the momentum the team had gained. As usual for this season, the offense didn't help at all today.

Yes, I'm being a downer. I have a bad feeling about this weekend.

I don't see this team being a playoff team in any way, so my view is to set the team up to be successful for the 2nd half of the season into 2026. This is not a team that has shown any ability to win consistently or to beat the teams they're supposed to beat consistently. Trade some of these yokels for young pitchers and draft picks. That's the BN as Braves GM take for the day ;)

Well, there goes setting the rotation up for the Mets. Makes last nights loss sting even more.

The speculation is that he injured himself on that great diving stop in the 9th.
Bad all around.

Sale got injured because of giving extra effort and now in hindsight a Blind Snitker found an acorn and was right to pull him.
