Well after that first drive it was mostly yuck. Starting to think even Dabo would have been a better hire, At least he has some fire.

At this point it seems more likely DeBoer finds himself on the hot seat than in the playoffs. Which, if you have this much talent and you miss the playoffs two years in a row is probably justified.

I hope he turns things around, but I'm just not sure he and his friends have it in them to navigate the type of schedule Alabama plays. He pulls a rabbit out of a hat now and then, but this isn't the west coast so his margin of error is so much smaller.

I can't imagine UGA doing it if we lose in Athens in a few weeks

We’re not extremely well coached, and the past couple years we’ve not had as many truly great players as we became accustomed to. I don’t care HS rating…. Fewer first rd draft picks …fewer true difference makers on offense and defense, good players…but not great like in Saban years.

Ty was hardly great today….but he was starting his first game in a deafening stadium, ag better coaches and players who dominated both sides of ball. He was not the problem or the solution.

What kind of team are we gonna be? Still lots of football left, obviously.

Things I like: Ty Simpson, Germie Benard, Ryan Williams for blocking well.

Things that scare me: O line, defense in general, kicking.

Unacceptable.

We are unprepared regularly now. Thats coaching. Absolutely unacceptable.

Preparation, execution and adjustments is what I wanted to see. I couldn't watch the game, but I listened to Chris and Tyler.

All three facets were abhorrent. We weren't prepared again. We had terrible execution. And the adjustments were never there because we were already so unprepared.

Time for the west coast experiments to end.

What little passion I had for college football was pretty much extinguished today.

I tried, but I just am not feeling it. I've been posting quite a lot about this over the last couple of years - the way the game has changed (x-fer portal, pay for play, etc) has basically ruined the sport for me. I had hoped watching the game today would get me fired up, but in reality, I'm not even upset Bama lost. I feel no connection to this team, and they feel completely disconnected from the school I attended.

C'est la vie...
