I agree. They need to find the best five for better run game but who?

Only two out of five has been constant in the game in last three games.

Kam Dewberry, Geno VanDeMark and Wilkin Formby likely to fill in at LG?

As of now, I expect this Proctor at left tackle and center Parker Brailsford Jaden Roberts at RG and Michael Carroll at right tackle.

I think most of the pressure has come from the left side. So I'm curious to see what happens next week.

He also mentioned he was down 20 pounds since the start of fall camp. Said around 63 or 64 which would be 363/64. Hopefully he keeps up sauna cycling he’s been doing.

He's still got 25-30 pounds to go to be in the right range and even with the shoulder injury, he coulda/shoulda been doing all that significant bike work and weight management in the spring and summer so that he showed up for fall as ready as possible.

Edit To Add: just to quantify why I'm a bit critical of his weight gain. To add 25 pounds over a 3 month period he was consuming about 1000 extra calories a day more than he was burning. If he really was up to almost 385, his weight gain was more like 35 pounds, and that's over 1300 extra calories a day. A moderately active person (i.e. him while recovering from surgery) needs 15 cals / per pound / day to maintain body weight so he'd need just under 5k calories to stay at that weight. 5k is a LOT of food. Add 1300 to that - 6300 calories. that's just an insane amount of food if he's not being active while recovering from surgery. You have to try really hard to consume that much, or take in really, really poor calorie choices. We have a staff of nutritionists to try to guide players that most of them use. There's no way he was using that resource.

He should have planted his “tree” when he first hit the campus. I applaud him for planting his “tree” now but, it is tad late.

I was just curious so googled 6500 calorie meal plan. Nothing came up. Closest was a 6000 cal meal plan from a body building page.

As I said - it's an insane amount of food to get where he got.

I agree with just about everyone else. He gets beat way too much on run and pass blocking. If he was simply awesome sauce at one I'd been more interested in his minutes, but I'm about done with watching him get beat so much.

If we don't have somebody else who could be consistently as average as him, I'd be shocked.

Is he becoming this year's "Jalen Milroe?"

I feel like our OL woes are mostly attributable to our current S&C program. Sure, we have fewer injuries amongst our skill players than we did under Cochran, and that's great. But our OL is too fat for pass protection and too weak for run blocking.

He had got up to 366 lbs, according to the updated roster. He must have lost 2 or 3 before the 20 more. So he's at 344 or so now?
The way I read it, was that he has now lost 20 and is down to 363/364 NOW, so he was more like 384 to start fall camp but maybe reading the OP wrong.

Without the activity of football we'd probably be hearing about Procter in Ripley's believe it or not.

Internet mock drafts still project him as a top 15 pick in 2026.
He can probably become a good guard in the NFL, but he is too slow to play tackle. It is too easy for the DEs / LBs to run around him.
