Government Shutdown

  • Hi Guest, we are working on updating the site servers and software. We're also 'forcing' everyone to read and agree to our site privacy policy and terms of service. There are no significant changes to either of these but the terms page does clarify a few things that are mostly in the legalese. You can just click the checkbox for both and continue using the site as usual! We'll update you more on the site upgrades VERY soon! THANK YOU AS ALWAYS for supporting the site and being an active participant!

This is the real reason Speaker Johnson refuses to bring the House back into session; it has nothing to do with the shutdown. He has to swear in Adelita Grijalva when they go back in session, and she will become the 218th signature to force a vote to release the Epstein files. It's all about protecting Trump and the other scumbags in these documents, and nothing to do with the shutdown.

Adelita Grijalva can force a vote on the Epstein files, but she's still not sworn in : NPR

Johnson refuses to swear in Grijalva, brushes aside Democrats' legal threat — for now - POLITICO

Yep.

I expect them to keep the government shut down until after the midterms. Or at least until Trump has assured himself there aren't enough "yes" votes to release them.

Since most are furloughed while my office has to report (and do mostly nothing because there's no money to spend), I hope they eventually let me bring in my gaming laptop or let us have movie day. 🤷‍♂️

Trump's dementia?

The guy has accomplished more in 10 months than any president I can remember.

Much of it trying to repair the damage from the previous WH tenet!

Must be driving the Trump haters crazy....lol......
Nah, just making me laugh at MAGA for thinking that Trump has accomplished anything valuable for America or the American people or anyone else besides Trump and his cronies.
Of course, I do give Trump credit for making him and his family extremely rich in his 10 months in the office and convincing MAGA that “Making Trump Rich” is their primary purpose in life. Trump is the best used car salesman that I’ve ever seen.

Here is a funny number to think about:
USAID budget in 2024 - $35 billion
Argentina bailout - $40 billion

Watching Trump/MAGA claim that Trump cuts foreign aid because he is concerned about Americans - priceless

Weird how people not only didn't notice Biden's obvious brain rot, but even pushed back against any notice of his mental decline (err, "stutter"), but now it's 'obvious' that Trump has dementia...
Yeah - and as I mentioned a while back - I'm not going to bag on Joe anymore regarding mental decline - been too close to it on a personal basis and it's nothing to joke about.

As far as the Trump attacks....because of all his successes......it's gotten to the point that the Trump haters are running out of legitimate issues to complain about. So what's left after that? Personal attacks.

SMH.........

It is incredible how Trump supporters are touting imaginary Trump successes in the "Government Shutdown" thread, when our air traffic controllers and many others are not being paid.

For sure.
Of course, you think that it was a peaceful protest. :)

Since you cannot name a single real Trump accomplishment, you are left with attacks on those who see who Trump really is - a king with no clothes.
