Coaching carousel 2025-26

  • HELLO AGAIN, Guest! We are back, live! We're still doing some troubleshooting and maintenance to fix a few remaining issues but everything looks stable now (except front page which we're working on over next day or two)

Thanks for your patience and support! MUCH appreciated! --Brett (BamaNation)

if you see any problems - please post them in the Troubleshooting board!

Cignetti's record does remind me of DeBoer somewhat... He did very well at lower level schools, particularly for his longest tenure at James Madison. He has never had a losing season.

Indiana went from 3-9 to 11-2 in his first year with losses to the national champ and the runner up after having 17 losing seasons in the 20 years before he arrived.

Indiana may be smarter than we are thinking. They are a wasteland of college football.

Their three winning seasons in the twenty years before Cignetti were 6-2, 8-5, and 7-61
Wow, those three winning seasons in the 20 years you listed are deceptively irregular….did they just stop counting losses after the 6th one during that 3rd year? 😉

Hahahah! Funny thing about 2020…

Went to a couple of Wake games to see my daughter march in the band. Very weird to be in a stadium with 5k people only!

Please, please, please, give Hugh an extended contract.
I expected we’ll hear something this afternoon or tomorrow. Probably will name D.J. Durkin interim.
I also think Fickell may have coached his last game at Wisconsin. They looked atrocious yesterday. And Sunbelt Billy may have survived another week.

The fighting Dabos were thumped by SMU...

Tejas struggled to beat Kentucky in OT yesterday... Arch 12/27...

LSU thumped by Vandy...

Georgia looked like Ole Miss was gonna put the hurt on them until the 4th quarter...

Some craziness out there indeed!

Hugh just looks bad... I think he is cracking more under the pressure every day.

Major donors are meeting now to discuss Norvell’s future per On3
Would laugh to see him fired after they pinned everything on beating us the 1st game of the season. I watched the end of the Stanford game last night because I was too amped to sleep, and it was bad. I don’t understand how we lost to them.

And hey, longshot but maybe Haynes would try to transfer back 😉

  • Emphasis!

Have there ever been this many in season firings before? At least at major programs? Almost seems like a mad panic to “get in line” for a new coach right now.
