Just coming off a string of fantastic wins. Setting an NCAA record for beating 4 ranked teams in a row. The #4 team in the country. Ty Simpson being held up as the Heisman front runner. Facing a team that is close to last place in the SEC. And finally with all that rat poison spilling left and right, this game is on the road….

We need to focus and continue the no nonsense approach. If our OL continues its growth, Hill continues to grow, RW gives us another all effort game, we will put some serious points up. If the D continues its growth with players like Pierre, Morgan, and Hill Green step up again, we could get a shut out. But if we sleep walk, give half rear end effort, and lack hustle…. USCe can upset us!

What say you?

This is another type of test for CKD that has lingered with him wherever he's been. He seems to have the cheat code on beating ranked teams only to have unranked heavily inferior teams as his kryptonite. This weekend will tell whether he's exorcised that demon or not, because this is the textbook, classic opportunity for a letdown game.

TRAP!? It could be, but I think prolly not. Based on the gradual and consistent turnaround from Labor Day weekend and showing defensive progress in protecting against mobile QB's I'm more confident in this year's TEAM than I expected to be. I think we jump out early and see Daniel Hill getting more playing time later in the game against a tired USCe second half defense. I think Lanoris Sellers is a better overall QB than we've seen up to this point, but I feel good about our defense creating pressures and containment now.

And yeah, I'm getting optimistic about this team, 'cuz they've earned it!

This.

I want to club them like baby seals.

45-3 is what I want.

200+ on the ground.

Unless he has a Stephen Garcia moment, his passing has looked very subpar this season. He's only thrown 5 TD's to 2 int's and only has 1 rushing TD. His 2025 has looked NOTHING like his 2024. But I get it, we have to plan and play like it's 2024 Sellers just in case that QB shows up.

Like you said, it’s been great to see players playing really well when it’s “next man up.” Hill, Pierre, Morgan have all become significant contributors. Here’s to adding to the resume this Saturday!
I’m sure the players will hear plenty about our trip to SC in 2010 and coaches will have everybody’s head straight.

gamecock fans blame our beloved Shula for his lackluster 2025 performance.

While South Carolina still have Ole Miss and A@M after Bama, beating Bama is their season regardless of what their fans say.So I fully expect them to throw everything but the kitchen sink at beating Bama.

If Bama does not lose focus, I expect them to win by 17. If they lack focus, well different story.

Let's do the winning thing again, Alabama.

If sellers is a better qb then anything we have faced he must have complete dog water around him cause South Carolina has been horrendous on offense this year.

Pretty sure the sink is all they have. These number are terrible.

Not a trap game.......
DeBoer and the staff have grown and learned and this team has ,this year, what it lacked last year and that's leadership. We seem to have more maturity on this team and they still seem to have taken that FSU loss to heart and kept that flame going.
I think we go out and put a whoopin' on them on Saturday.

I’m not worried. Since the FSU debacle I’ve been in “show me” mode watching this team. They have been focused on the mission 6 straight weeks. Yes the hype has increased each passing week, and the rat poison has been spread. But I don’t think they take the bait.

So let’s just wait and see. If they do, the letdown will be massive. But what I expect is for them to run out of the tunnel in Columbia on Saturday ready to play their best, and how I think that plays out is a competitive game for about a half and then we pull away. We’ll see.

On the road in the SEC, against a talented but under-achieving team after beating 4 ranked teams in 4 weeks?

Yes, it’s a trap game unless and until we prove under DeBoer that we can maintain focus against teams we should beat.
I for one am still suffering from shell shock from last season’s losses, lol. I need that fear proved wrong a couple times before I relax!
