This game was like 2014 Arkansas. This was crazy.

I think it was worse. We really had a real chance of losing this one because USCe had the team to beat us. But that Arkansas game was far more frustrating because of that horrible sneak by Blake sims.

I was at the 2010 debacle in Columbia. It felt like we were going to fight our way out of the stadium, people trying to throw beer on you, running up to you getting in your face. I cannot stand that place. Felt good to see long faces looming over the shrubs they were getting ready to hop and celebrate. With that said, this should have been a 35-14 game. BUT... At least we fought through adversity in a game that seemed like we were not getting breaks. Winning ugly is better than losing pretty. I will take it. Team has some grit, when it counts.

Just Win Baby! Defense stepped up big time!

so did the offense for a couple of minutes in the second quarter and for 5 minutes at the end of the 4th. after as bad as they were playing, i am proud of them for continuing to chop wood

It would be nice to see runs outside the tackles...we are predominantly running up the middle. Rarely do we put the running backs in space. I think they are talented but being held back with the running scheme tendancies

They are not that good; unfortunately. Probably the weakest running back room since Saban arrived. Wish Justice had hung around.

Problem is the strength of USCe's D are their ELITE DEs. Trying to get outside is really a way to lose yardage against teams like this.

In a weird sort of way that might be my favorite win so far, although it's hard to beat last week's win.

I think this is proof we've turned a corner. Would 2024 Bama win this? I don't think so.

This was always going to be a tough game. We were coming into this game off the back of a record-breaking stretch of 4 games. We were coming into a tough environment, against a QB that can be a real wildcard, against a team that is looking to get a big win to try and save a poor season. This was a National Championship for South Carolina in a lot of ways. It's tough to share the same level of motivation they have.

I think we played a lot better than people gave credit for. The defense was outstanding today considering the offensive struggles. Such a great group of players that are only getting better. Offensively? Well it's tough. The run game is not good. It's that simple and it's a big problem. Hopefully the bye week gives us time to figure it out because it's only putting more and more pressure on the passing game. We're pretty much living and dying by the passing game. Grubb had some great play calls.

Wasn't pretty, but those are the games great teams win.

Where do I start? First off hats off the SC Defensive staff. That was a humiliation for most of the game. Not sure if I've seen 55 crappier minutes of offense followed by 5 minutes of brilliance to win. Defense played their hearts out all game long and of course scored 6 and got the critical fumble at the end. Our continual issues getting the run game going early are seriously hurting the team. Nobody even thinks about defending it, they just lay their ears back to pressure Ty. One of the best runs JMiller ever made was called back due to a holding. There were SO many drops by receivers in this game. if they had caught half of them we run away with this game. Ty was also off on all the deep throws but he continues to thrive off the mid range stuff which is the most devastating to a defense. The lob pass to Hill was a gut punch. Defensively if he executes that type thing it's indefensible. Ty's 55% completion percentage is miles below his average. Daniel Hill becoming an indispensable cog in the offense. We really did miss Brooks, he's just someone who sparks the offense. The team needs some rest and therapy after a gauntlet like that.

The cold facts are that we have no running game. I think it’s 50/50 between the OL and the RB group. In other words, 50/50 on who is to blame. And Grubb insists on running the ball regardless. Ty has no deep ball. Some of that is on the WR group, but he left several short today.

We are really boxed in on offense. We need to seriously self scout during this bye week. It absolutely couldn’t come at a better time.

I'm willing to go with "partly fatigue" and "we've got a lot to work on".

At the same time, while this team may not win it all this year, I think today was a big step in showing they CAN win and face adversity. This is clearly the type of game we would have lost a year ago.

This five game stretch has been remarkable. Three road games. One against a team that had played five straight home game, and had a bye week before we played them at their house. Four consecutive games against rated teams. All conference games. And we won them all! It's almost like someone in the SEC office doesn't like us.

Find me another schedule in the nation that comes close to that level of difficulty.

SCAR still had more yards than we did - even after the two TD drives in the last ten minutes. They had more first downs (one more), they outrushed us, and Ty Simpson (statistically) was the second best QB in the game. NOW TO BE FAIR: Ty was getting blistered by missed blocks, and I salute the young man for staying in there after he'd taken some shots from the opposition. SCAR has a good D.

SCAR is 127th in the NCAA in total offense and 114th in scoring offense (20.1 ppg).

And we struggled with them. OKAY - again, fatigue and emotional decline, I can accept that. But they also provided a tutorial video for "how to beat Alabama if your offense is actually any good and your defense is really good, too."
