The Governor will encourage LSU to take this route after he has figured out how much money he has spent...
Lets, the Governor, PE running program strategy, Kiffin, BoT. I could not imagine coaching with all those chiefs...
Do you really think the AD needs to spend its time putting out fires from the idiots in the fanbase?I totally get that…but the narrative is that if we lose to OU again, he’s gone…why not refute that immediately? (If that’s a rumor and gets removed I understand.)
Misunderstanding…gone as in,to Michigan, not fired…that’s why a quick “I’m good” wouldn’t be too terrible…Do you really think the AD needs to spend its time putting out fires from the idiots in the fanbase?
C'mon. DeBoer isn't getting fired if Bama loses to OU in the CFP.
Which means addressing it otherwise is giving the idiots power. The only way you starve them is by ignoring them.
This goes for any group that protests.Do you really think the AD needs to spend its time putting out fires from the idiots in the fanbase?

Besides, i dont know about yall.... but i aint got 70 something million dollars laying around for his buyout.Do you really think the AD needs to spend its time putting out fires from the idiots in the fanbase?

If another team took CKD that OTHER team would owe Bama the buyout wouldnt they? I mean Bama owes NOTHING to CKD if he decided to leave on his own. Maybe I'm misunderstanding that.Besides, i dont know about yall.... but i aint got 70 something million dollars laying around for his buyout.
This aint Texas A&M.
A buyout is meant to keep the coach from leaving, so yes CKD would be responsible for that. Common sense dictates that the new school would compensate for that...If another team took CKD that OTHER team would owe Bama the buyout wouldnt they? IF we lose to OU again there will be a lot of people here who want him to leave…heck, there are a fair number who seem to already want him to leave.I totally get that…but the narrative is that if we lose to OU again, he’s gone…why not refute that immediately? Not sure what to think about Nix other than experiencedI seriously doubt DeBoer takes the Michigan job. Especially when there is a lot of smoke at this point is that he is in the process of hiring Derrick nix as his WR coach.
My understanding is that if CKD leaves on his on accord ie breaks the contract, he would owe UA 4 million dollarsA buyout is meant to keep the coach from leaving, so yes CKD would be responsible for that. Common sense dictates that the new school would compensate for that...
The only ones throwing this out there are writers and bloggers looking for clicks!![]()

Whomever he would go to would pay that I am sure...not an issue with the money being thrown around. Personally I believe he will stay for at least 3 years and see what he can do. Like the song says, "if you can do it here you can do it anywhere..."My understanding is that if CKD leaves on his on accord ie breaks the contract, he would owe UA 4 million dollars
I agree.I'd love to hear their plan for how they will make the program better in this era and with our schedules.
The FSU loss was bad. But after that we've lost to a team that like it or not is 10-2 and ranked in the top ten and split two games with Georgia who has good odds to win the title.
Our problems can be fixed and DeBoer seems to be cognizant and willing to do the work.
Switching coaches now with a depleted field out there would result in a sideways move at best and likely destroy our roster and team unity.
We need unity in the fan base for two more years.
Evaluation gets tougher with the changing of eras in college football. People trying to gauge him like Saban or even Day is unfair.I agree.
Who is available that would be better?
I can’t think of a single coach…not one.
That doesn’t mean I think DeBoer is some incredible coach (I’m still in the evaluation stage in that respect) but it will be a couple more years before I can form a complete opinion on him.
For sure. Sexton has told him to let this swirl. Worst case scenario, nothing changes. Best case he gets a raise from Bama or Michigan. No sense in wasting the moment.Could be Coach is looking to cash in at the capstone by letting the media narrative swirl.
DeBoer has not done enough imo to warrant a raise or an extension at this time. For sure. Sexton has told him to let this swirl. Worst case scenario, nothing changes. Best case he gets a raise from Bama or Michigan. No sense in wasting the moment.
And as said above, you start talking about this noise at press conferences—even denying it—and there will be no other discussion but this.
