First off in the last game I was overly critical of CKD. I was completely over the top and I apologize to Tidefans. My emotions were driven not by the loss but the way we lost because I never envisioned the CFP allowing us in over ND. No matter because the result of my emotions were completely wrong no matter the outcome of the CFP.

I have always liked CKD and want him to succeed I believe he will. There will never be another Saban in my lifetime but CKD will do better than anyone I can think of. Today he has won me over win lose or draw against Oklahoma by his commitment and loyalty to our program. He has rebuffed two storied programs to continue to lead the Alabama Crimson Tide. He doesn’t know, need, or probably will see or care about me or this statement: but in a day and age where everyone is about the Benjamin’s it is refreshing to see someone make such statement and stand. I as a fan will stand by you CKD and I believe Bama Nation will rally around you too!

RTR!!!

Thanks for fixing title didn’t mean to make it a teaser

Are you going to feel the same if we find out soon that he has a newly renegotiated contract? Not sure if true or not, but there is some rumbling that Byrne is hammering out details this evening.

For me the statement is huge, if Byrne has renegotiated a new contract to keep CKD that is fine as well. However it shakes out the fact still remains that he has turned down interest from two other schools with a storied history. His statement says he has no interest in any other jobs but the one he has for me I take him at his word, but that is how I feel everyone is entitled to their own interpretation.

sadly, that probably won't be enough to shut up the nonsense
Well, he didn’t say HIS REPRESENTATIVES haven’t been talking with any other team. Loophole.

Sadly, I heard a MICHIGAN MAN in the gym telling someone that it’s pretty much a done deal , that DeBoer wanted to go to Michigan when Harbaugh left , especially now he is very unhappy in Tuscaloosa and with the expectations of the Alabama fanbase. I started to ask the guy why would any coach want to go to the cesspool that is Michigan/ B1G. With the sex scandals, coaches getting arrested , Pedo St , the Pedo at Michigan State, the cheating scandal at Michigan, etc.

Glad Coach put out the statement. I didn’t think he was going anywhere.

I too was in the ‘Move on from Coach DeBoer’ after Florida St. but that had more to do with the team in general. At that time they were 4-5 over their last 9 VS FBS teams. There was no team discipline evidenced by all the penalties over that stretch, no fire from the team, sleepwalking . Nothing seemed to change over the off season. But as the season went along, it was clear in critical areas there was improvement. Now, we have some areas that need a lot of improvement , and it is still a work in progress. But I / we should support CKD to see what he can do. He is recruiting at a very high level, the team is winning, maybe not as much as we would like, but, I feel if we get healthy we can make a run in the playoffs.

I wouldn't mind a extension, we could have alot worse coach ,let on a worse person, listen I've said earlier he has to get his players in place that fit his system, he only has freshman and sophomore at this time, I can't stand losing at anything especially watching Alabama lose, but 12-0,13-0, etc. teams are not more, we have to give him time RTR

Even in Coach Saban’s unparalleled run, he had 2 undefeated teams in 17 years. As tough as the SEC was then, especially the West, it is MUCH tougher now. With the loss of depth and the madness of a nine game SEC schedule (10 if you are undefeated) thanks to the incompetent Sankey, and other issues, it’s beyond difficult.

I'm pulling for CKD and would like to see him succeed. He keeps recruiting well when others were saying he couldn't recruit the south and bringing in top talent. He has improved from year one to year two and he seems like a good family man and the players want to play for him. Think no major turnover from the transfer portal. He provides stability to our program; we don't want to be like Auburn and go through coaches like they do.

If Michigan or anyone offered him more money, then as Alabama leadership, you have a decision to make.

Now, he may not go to Michigan regardless due to how horrible their whole environment is right now. But if he would, and if they did offer him a substantial raise, if you want to keep him you have to counter that. It is what it is. Business.

We better get used to his name being thrown out there at every major position that comes open. This goes with the territory of being successful along with being a person you can trust to lead a program such as ours.

I don't think he will stay forever, but I am hoping for 3-5 more years at least...time enough to win an SEC and National Championship.

I would be worried if there wasn't a new contract or extension every year. I don't like it, but that's just how things go.
