I figured last night was going to be him laying the groundwork for accusing the Democrats of creating the files.

I don't know how many of you remember a deranged "evangelist" in the 90s named Bob Larson, but boy howdy, was he HILARIOUS. He had a show called "Talk Back Live" and from time to time he would cast out demons over the phone (don't laugh; Oral Roberts claimed in 1988 to have cast the demons out of Jimmy Swaggart over the phone after his habit included seeing 304s). He was a real hoot.

Well around 2000 or so, Larson came up with one of the funniest explanations you'll ever hear for behavior. He claimed that demons could impersonate people and, in fact, had taken on his likeness and been observed going into motels that were known places for 304s. What an amazing way to get out of trouble! You can get caught on video but then just say, "That wasn't me, that was the devil possessing someone else to LOOK LIKE ME!"


I swear, Bob would be a great advisor to Trump on all his "I know you won't believe me..."

My Dad took a sharp turn out of seemingly nowhere in 2016 and went all in on MAGA.

But in his case He also had dementia and deteriorated rapidly between then and 2020.

I don’t wish the 1st or 2nd part of this short story on any one else.

Dad had 3 strokes on Father's Day 2016.

That's not where his support for Trump began, but it IS where his DERANGED support for Trump began.

That is a very apt analogy considering how things turned out for Ahab. What the Dems and neocons are doing basically equates to burning down the house to kill a spider. And this is no surprise to anyone who has been paying attention. They've impeached him twice (both of which were laugh-out-loud ridiculous), attempted to kill the guy twice and now they are willing to expose their own dirty laundry to get to one man. This is like something out of a Road-Runner cartoon. (Wile E. Coyote was apparently a big fan of deficit-spending, too. He should have run for Congress.)

The uniparty has 3 years to get their **** together and create something the people will vote for. If they keep chasing the white whale, they might as well throw in the jock now. (And speaking of whales, did anybody else see that movie, "The Whale" with Brendan Fraser? God, that film stabbed me right in the heart.)

Exactly... The Dems need to give us a reasonable candidate, because the Reps will not. And I can't see a third party winning it. But they will pursue Trump to the end and destroy themselves. All they have to do is let Trump be Trump, build a solid platform to grab the middle and Trump and his admin will likely self-destruct nicely on their own with just a little nudge.

No doubt in my mind that this Justice Dept will release anything detrimental to Obama while trying their best to hide anything detrimental to trump. This JD is just a political arm of this administration and we all know how trump feels about Clinton. It is the most corrupt, by a long shot, of any JD since Nixon and John Mitchel.

I don't think anybody believes that, but it was TRUMP who dangled those "see what I got here" files before everyone Joe McCarthy-style. That means it means a helluva lot more if HE is actually in them (he is, of course; his fetish for young bleached blondes, his own admission he could kiss whoever he wanted because he was famous, his walking around the Miss Teen USA pageant all point to a guy with a serious problem).

I ascribe to what Miami Herald editor Tom Fiedler told the initial call he got on the surveillance that destroyed Gary Hart. His source said she had pictures of Hart with Donna Rice, and Fiedler said, "Politicians have their picture taken with strangers all the time. That alone means nothing."

Pictures of Bill Clinton in a pool with Epstein nearby - in and of themselves - don't prove any more than "Hey, here's a picture of Trump with Epstein at a golf course."

I went down to Mississippi to visit my Dad in Spring 2016. At the time, the primaries were going on. I asked him what he thought about Trump. My Dad replied, "Aw, he's a NUT!!!"

I came down to visit in October, and there were Trump signs all over his yard.

I visited my parents in February 2016, and I saw a cultism grip my father I'd never seen previously. He had just turned 70 years old in November (so yes - he just hit 80 a month ago).

He had Fox News on the TV and he was sitting there, and this was just as the campaign was really getting going. Amazingly enough, he could spot every lie every Republican candidate told except one: Trump. I'm watching him and thinking, "You cannot be this dumb, Dad. I don't even disagree with you about this guy or that guy, but you actually believe this guy who wrecked a football league and casinos six times knows anything about building a wall?"

Then on Father's Day, he suffered 3 strokes and nearly died.

He hasn't been the same since. His latest isn't so much to think Trump is great as to say Biden was terrible.
The one time he DID part from Trump (thank God) was over the Covid vaccine. This is a guy who grew up fearing polio, so he didn't need any extra incentive to get the shot, esp as a diabetic.

But he's driven us all crazy, too.
