As you might expect, Trump is ****ed.

President Donald Trump lashed out at the five Republican senators who voted to advance legislation that would constrain his war powers in Venezuela on Thursday.

The GOP lawmakers — Rand Paul of Kentucky, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Susan Collins of Maine, Todd Young of Indiana and Josh Hawley of Missouri — joined with the chamber’s entire slate of Democrats to tee up a vote that could compel Trump to seek the approval of Congress before taking any additional military action in Venezuela.

not to worry, jv dance is clarifying everything for us

Vice President Vance called the War Powers Act “fundamentally fake” and unconstitutional, ridiculing the law passed in 1973 shortly after senators on Capitol Hill voted to advance a bipartisan measure to block President Trump from using military force against Venezuela.

“Second of all, as the president, I believe himself, has already said every president, Democrat or Republican, believes the War Powers Act is fundamentally a fake and unconstitutional law,” Vance said during a White House press briefing.

And what if trump chooses to ignore it like he has done with many other laws. Impeachment is obviously not an option since the senate, as constituted today, wil never convict. Even if the mid terms change that can you imagain the uproar (remember 1/6) if the new senate would convict. :(

Yes, but we need a group of legislators to stand up and do the right thing for this country and fling this cretin out of office.

Trump put intense pressure on five Republican senators who joined with Democrats to advance the resolution last week and ultimately prevailed in heading off passage of the legislation. Two of the Republicans — Sens. Josh Hawley of Missouri and Todd Young of Indiana — flipped under the pressure.
They don't come much more craven than Hawley, so no real surprise there.

Josh Hawley is the kind of moron who would believe Trump when right before intecourse he says he’s clean and had a vasectomy and then blame his gonorrhea on a tractor and say he got pregnant from a public toilet - because Trump wouldn’t lie about something like that.

I’ve wanted to punch Hawley in the face ever since that 1/6 salute and his own role in putting that whole thing to a vote because that’s exactly the type of sleaze merchant he is.

Then again he ran from those peaceful protestors on a field trip so why wouldn’t he turn tail and run from Donald Chump?

CAIN: Trump came at you hard the other day, saying you "should never be elected to office again." You changed your vote on war powers after that. Why?

JOSH HAWLEY: I talked to the president and secretary of state and he said we're not gonna occupy Venezuela, and that's good enough for me

Josh Hawley: Profile in courage

Reminds me of an old joke:

A man comes home late one night and walks into the bedroom to see his wife in bed with another man in a compromising position. He screams, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" And she turns to the lover and says, "See, I told you he was stupid."
