I agree everybody gets an opinion on a message board as long as they play by the rules.

But one group is saying "wait and see what happens," and another group is saying "while we wait and see, let's assume we will still suck."

When what happens finally happens, then we can disagree/have our own opinions, but there really isn't anything to debate except to wait and see what happens.

I have already said that if CKD swings and misses I'll eat crow. But we really won't know until we see the product on the field next year.
And both view points are allowed within board rules.

I'd be inclined to agree here, but the problem is we probably have some lower rated guys that would gladly come to Bama and give their all.....but are we hung up on higher rated kids that are getting courted by multiple big programs?

We have lots of open spots that need bodies....evaluations should have been ongoing for a while now. A lot of guys have already been picked up at this point. We may not have the 3 star guys to fall back on.
It takes time to do evaluations on under the radar kids...while preparing for the playoffs. If our season had ended with the Iron Bowl, perhaps we would be further along in this whole Portal mess.

And if everyone agreed here, I would dare say this message board would cease to exist. It would simply be an echo chamber.

The most valuable thing here IS the difference of opinion. If done in a mutually respectful way, it only adds to the value. There have been many opinions stated over the years that i didn’t agree with. But many times those ideas or notions did give me pause to reconsider my position.

Nah, evals should be ongoing and we should have a cadre of folks combing through the portal since day 1. You seen how many portal guys Indiana has this cycle?

Well, we are handicapped on the booster side as we don't have a billionaire boosters, so pinning that on staff is... 🙄

If they are a sleeper, then they are under the radar anyways, so how would we know?

Because someone needs to be watching film......the whole staff should be evaluating every piece of film they can get their hands on.

Ok, that's fine, but we didn't look prepared again for the Rose Bowl and we haven't looked prepared attacking the portal. We look unprepared in too many phases that a program should never be.

Folks I just want to say that all of us who post on this platform are true Tide Fans. If we didn’t love Alabama athletics we wouldn’t pour our hearts and souls into it the way we do. Some members who’ve actually posted in this very thread taught me a valuable lesson in 2024. They were a little critical of our QB at the time and I was one that really thought it was awful. I supported him because he was the starter. Those people taught me that you can be critical and still love your team. I saw this year what we could’ve looked like with Ty on the field.

We’re brothers and sisters here who sometimes may have a difference of opinion but we’re still supporting what we all love. RTR

The bolded evoked Bryce Young’s name and seemingly questioned why a Heisman winner wasn’t benched for 2 Freshman.

It’s not a 1:1 comparison.

I think I’m becoming conditioned to moving goal posts at this point.

The Biggest issue I have with CKD is that he’s way in over his head and hasn’t done a single thing to instill confidence that a change or improvement can be made.

I don’t care that he’s not CNS

I’m concerned he exhibits traits that mirror Curry, Dubose, and Shula.

I’m still waiting for anyone to give me some Green Flags.

No one has to agree with my opinion or anyone else’s that are viewed as ‘critical’ but the concerns with this staff are valid and people are giving tangible reasons why.

I understand other people have outlooks based on positivity despite caution signs.

That’s cool but ultimately it’s based upon nothing but having a positive outlook with no examples to back up why that outlook has justification.

In the end it doesn’t matter who likes him or doesn’t like him because we’re stuck with him for probably 2 more seasons at least.
The line was trash and so was the running game and you said nothing because Saban was the coach.
