Obama ran on a platform of higher wages and deporting illegals that were being used by the rich in construction and chicken plants, etc to keep wages artificially low. I know, I know, but for the sake of the experiment, make it any black president.

He wins, and instead of using his slim Dem majority to try and make health care more affordable, he has his Congress insanely super-fund a steroided ICE and Coast Guard and every other armed agency under Presidential direct control. He starts rounding up illegals in mostly red states. When Republicans oppose him, he threatens to send in the National Guard and Federalizes it if a Republican Governor tries to use it to defend the local populace. Also, almost forgot, he uses a vast Government make-work Outreach program to recruit from black and brown inner city communities and offers insane $50,000 signing bonuses.

These ICE "officers" wear masks, no identification and go into mostly Red America and round up everyone they can because some Eric Holder type has given them a 3000 person a day quota. If you as a contruction owner try to interfere, you're shot. And instead of investigating the shooter, they investigate YOU and your Red State Governors and Mayors.

This same black president is hiring cranks that don't believe in vaccines, tries to pull us out of NATO, is best buddies with Putin and openly states that anyone who says anything bad about the president is a traitor and deserves to die.

Almost forgot! He starts tearing down the White House and building himself a ballroom to host billionaires who he strong-arms for loads of money!

How you like this scenario? Is this OK?

Whataboutism aside, anyone who funds (even indirectly with a wink and a nod) mobs who commit violent and other illegal activity should be condemned.

I wouldn't either. But, I can only control what I do, not what others do. The safest thing to do is to not let yourself be dupped into playing the role of useful idiot. Do not commit crimes and and run afoul of LE, especially if one considers LE to be Nazis looking for an excuse to shot you in the face. Best to stay away from them. The find out part can be extreme.

To the extent that there is governmental overreach (and I believe most of what government does is overreach), then it should be curtailed. Laws should apply to everyone.

Now I understand the different arguments on this point, but if that person drove their car at you and you reasonably perceive your life is in danger what then?

It's like Trump wanting to cap credit card interest rates. That's a Sanders/Warren/AOC plan. But, do the lefties here support it? They did but not now. Because of Trump and reasons and whatnot. Tribalism is so funny.

There are many times in history where individuals kept quiet expecting that it would never impact them in the assumed safety of their own homes. In the end it did affect each and every one of them.

I'm not saying ignore big government overreach. In fact, I wish more people would take notice. Government escaped the constitutional corral generations ago. Sad fact is, most of the people protesting are otherwise for big government. They wanted leviathan, now they go it.

Regarding the protesters who commit violence and vandalism and play in traffic, I don't support their tactics. Would you advise anyone you cared about to behave in such a manner? I wouldn't.

This is an issue that I oppose on philosophical grounds.

But it is not an issue that I care that much about, as it does not apply to me. Neither my wife (ever) nor I (in at least 20 years) have carried cc balances. I do enjoy getting hundreds of dollars/year in free money from cc points though.

But, it's not the business of government to interfere barring an instance of fraud or breach of contract. Don't want to pay high cc interest? Then don't. People are free to make their own choices. Good or bad.

A mob well-funded by Soros and the Chinese, but nonetheless a mass of clowns high on emotion and low on rationality. I thought you guys were against big money (especially foreign money) being interjected into politics. I guess it is selective.
