Trump attacks Iran (was "Help is on the way")

In all seriousness, this represents a significant shift in American foreign policy. The big frustrations for war vets:
OIF: Enemy safe haven in Iran
OEF: Enemy safe haven in Pakistan
Vietnam: Enemy safe haven in Cambodia
International waters argument aside, it appears we can finally try to finish fights without an arm and a leg tied behind our backs. Restricted by geography. This is a bigger deal than most realize, and will likely upset the globalist crowd. Oh well.

I don't think he knows what he means.

While I'm dubious of whatever "federal control" might mean in practice, I do think we need to verify citizenship at registration. Could be a birth certificate. Could be a naturalization certificate. I'd be open to other documentation if it proves citizenship.

Proving you're a citizen one time (you'd prove it only to register, not to vote) is not an onerous burden. The fact that some jurisdictions once made registration difficult to impossible based on race is not a good reason to let anyone who kinda sorta looks 18 to vote today.

Otherwise, why bother with registration at all? Just show up on election day and fill in a ballot.
The problem is that many elderly, minority and rural people cannot come up with a birth certificate, passport, etc. I couldn't, for example. Something like two affidavits from two unrelated persons, or something similar needs to be added...

I dunno, Bamaro - seems like we're doing pretty good with our military strikes and exercises thus far with these two "fools" in control.

Perhaps you are failing to recognize the scope of intelligence and capabilities within' the Pentagon and our intelligence agencies (?)

No other country is capable of pulling off what we have - not only with Iran but also Maduro.
We're doing good in spite of trump and Kegsbreath

I'm OK with that. Just something that establishes citizenship at the time of registration. After initial registration, there would be no requirement to prove citizenship in order to vote in each election.

What documentation do you have to have for a passport? It's been a while since I got my first one, and it's likely changed since then anyway.

The regime’s infighting over the selection of the Supreme Leader is now visible on X. The first cleric incorrectly claims that, by law, the regime must choose a replacement within a week. He is most likely a supporter of Mojtaba Khamenei who wants to bypass the Assembly of Experts process by pushing for a quick announcement. The second cleric accuses him of helping Israel by questioning the authority of the Assembly of Experts and by pushing for a leader who would lack legitimacy.

This isn't just about Iran. Every country watching this is doing the math. Every country that has been quietly drifting toward Beijing's orbit, betting that China is the future, is watching Beijing issue press conferences while its strategic partner gets regime-changed. The multipolar world was never a reality. It was a theory, a brand, an aspiration shared by countries that had grievances against American power. But they had no actual capacity to replace it. And when the moment of truth arrived, all Russia and China could do is say, “sorry for your loss.”

Karoline Leavitt confirms that Spain’s weak leftist government has already capitulated to President Trump after he threatened to cut off all trade with them yesterday.LEAVITT: “With respect to Spain, I think they heard the president’s message yesterday loud and clear.”“And it’s my understanding over the past several hours, they’ve agreed to cooperate with the U.S. Military.”“And so I know that the U.S. Military is coordinating with their counterparts in Spain.”“But the president expects all of our European allies, of course, to cooperate in this long sought-after mission, not just for the United States but also for Europe to crush the rogue Iranian regime.”

Russia is in their own mess of their own making and outside of shooting nukes China is incapable of projecting power outside of their region and even then it's limited. They can be shut down by an embargo so far away from the Chinese mainland that they couldn't do anything about it. They do not have a real blue water navy that can really project power.

Maybe they caved and maybe they didn't, but I do not believe what the Epstein Administration is saying.

All I know is that it is impossible to cut off trade with Spain unless you cut off all trade with the EU. They operate under a single unified trade policy and all goods flow freely between EU members. I will not even touch on the lack of constitutional authority a president has to end trade with an ally, much less the entire EU, but Trump and his cult members don't care about the Constitution anyway.

No, there was no real threat. It was just political theater for his base, and they ate it up.

Their radar and anti air defenses used in Pakistan, Venezuela, and Iran don't seem to work too well. They don't even see the F-22's or F-35's. They go in first knock out radar and anti air defenses and then the F-18's, F-16's, and F-15's along with any other bombers just come in and clean up.

There is one common participant in the Gaza war and Iran war….

I had great difficulty. I was born in a clinic and taken home. The nurse misspelled my name on the original birth certificate and never filed it with the state. I didn't correct it till I entered AFROTC. I finally got a certificate of live birth, based on an affidavit from my mother, thankfully still alive then. I took the certificate to the probate court and had the misspelling corrected. On the basis of those docs, I was able to get a passport issued, which I hold on to like gold and will never let expire, since I will need it for a "real" driver's license...

I can understand why a draft dodging sufferer of terminal bone spurs is not familiar with the Thursday evening “Vietnam body count” of the late 60s, all those losers and suckers.

Secretary 90 Proof apparently doesn’t understand that when you get your car home safely it doesn’t make the news but if you cause a 16-car pileup with deaths it’s the lead story.
you know , I briefly saw the tweet a few days ago that Barron Trump had to go to the hospital for emergency bone spurs, didn’t give it much thought. Then while reading your post , it clicked and I Laughed Out Loud!
