What is this I'm reading about an exchange between them in the handshake line? Did Overton not appreciate being shut down by an underclassman?

My understanding is there was a bunch of yapping between the two during course of the game. My guess? Overton “talked” more of game than he “played” and Amari let him know it as they went through the handshake line.

Personally I’m a Holloway guy. Love his demeanor. I hope Allen is back. Getting mock draft love right now.
I’m with you on Holloway. Don’t see him talking, he just plays. I do love the spirit Mallette brings. I have no belief that Allen hangs around. If he does it will be the biggest recruiting get Oats has done.

I've given up on judging "draft worthy" 1st year college guys. When I think they should stay, they usually go.

But I see how Allen could really follow the Philon model and stay one more year and really, really improve his draft stock.

He's got some rough edges that if they were smoothed, he could be a high lottery pick IMO.

Selfishly, I hope he stays...year two he could be the glue of another "one and done type team." Think Mallette leadership with Mark Sears drive/attitude in the body of someone not far off from Brandon Miller talent.

Frankly, Allen can do so much and really well but he isn’t an elite ball handler, he isn’t an elite shooter, he isn’t an elite rebounder. You can’t put it on him to dominate a game. What he is, is an elite “glue” player. I do believe he can make improvements with physical strength and all the other things. And when he does, he can become a lottery pick rather than “first round”. Frankly, unless you are a legit lottery pick then you may well end up playing in the G-League. I mean the 31st pick in a draft is playing at Baylor right now.
