My wife and I were watching "The Best of APT" (we're not losers, I swear) tonight and there was a 50s quintet in concert. They sang a song with the popular "ramma-lamma-ding-dong" in it, and it brought up a discussion of 50s music being no better than today's rap music in regards to making up words to fit in a song.
Then I asked her if she had ever heard one particular 50s song. I cannot and have never been able to understand a word the guy in the song says. I do know that there is a high pitched, background vocal that consistently repeats "aye-yay-yay-yay-yay-yaaay" after the lead singer mumbles whatever the heck it is he's singing. I thought I had this song on my computer, but I can't locate it, and since I don't know any of the lyrics (other than the background syllables previously mentioned) or the name of the song, I'm having a hard time finding it.
Thanks in advance...
