Judging by the speed with which this thread is growing, there are a lot of people who never got over Bill Curry.

He never enters my mind until I read or hear some dumb comment he makes about my alma mater.

I have trouble thinking even Bill Curry is stupid enough to say Alabama struggled against Vanderbilt. They dominated that game...

Bill Curry is probably the most disingenuous person I've ever seen or heard (other than Bill Clinton - no flames, please). Nobody but nobody can ruin watching an otherwise great college football game better than him and his comments.

He always has to dip his cookies in the spilled milk when it comes to Alabama. Still has no class even though he coached at the closes chance he ever had at playing for a national championship.

Do you believe Curry was pulling a "Dye?" I don't have the same fervent optimism towards the human race you possess: I think Curry was just tinkling on our salad out of some primordial-level spite.

The sad thing about this thread is that even if the Curry quote is bogus, he still deserves much of the dung being flung his direction.

I want one media person to ask "Coach" Curry how the "brick hole" matches the size of the shoe of one of his defensive coaches, and while they are at it how physics can be defied by all the glass shattering outward onto a ledge. Oh, I forgot that the glass was at least 1' thick. Oh, and lest we forget that the window in question was (and still is) at least 20 feet in the air (Namath wasn't p.o.'d was he?).

I don't pay any attention to Curry. The above should explain why. What a joke for a coach.

I have hard time believing Curry said this because it just doesn't seem like something he would say. I can't find any other instances of this on the web and not at the link that was given.

And I can't find it on any "Insider" sites at ESPN.

He should be thankful to the great U of A, we are the only reason he has the job he has today.

Has been a while since I posted, but this one got me.

I usually dont turn down the TV and listen to Eli. Frankly I love Snake but think Eli leaves a lot to be desired (just my opinion). The real reason I dont turn down TV and listen to radio is the time lapse involved.

However, when Curry is doing the games I make an acception.

I really wish I had thrown the brick.

I believe there is plenty of documented evidence that on occasion, he could, but thats all past, Today I think Alabama can beat Georgia, but obviously they will have to play a great game to do so. they expecially cannot afford turnovers. My guess is Curry doesn't want to see Alabama become successful.

I don't hold the man in high regard. His entire livelihood is based on the fact that he coached at UA for three years in the 80's. He paints himself as a beacon of academic integrity, a voice of sanity in a football mad world, yet Bama's graduation rate was lower when he left than it was when he was hired. He is a fraud, a liar, and a weak minded little man.

Other than that he's pretty cool.
