I've had season tickets for several years now and I must say that was THE LOUDEST game i've ever been to at Bryant Denny. I applaud our fans for finally stepping up and getting loud when it was necessary

My ears were (and are still!) ringing more for this game than they ever have and I've been going to all the games at home since 1986 (missed UT a couple weeks ago due to a work-related trip, though...man!)

That is good to hear and it surprises me. On tv te crowd did not sound as loud as it did for the ut game. Guess that what i get for not being there:(
I was at both games and its hard to say which one was louder last night or Tennesee, at times last night the crowd was louder than ever ( I couldn't hear the elephant roar after the Arenas touchdown), hope that carries over and BDS stays that way

I watched it on TV. When Alabama scored the tv cameras shook. You could tell there was a party going on inside the stadium. I wish I could have helped out the crowd but I had to keep my neighborhood rockin'. I am in no way dissapointed with the way we played. Every player and fan should be proud to be apart of the Alabama program. Looks like we are going to finish the year off doing better than expected, and next year will be better and the year after that we will be the top of the nation.

Well that's good to hear. CBS must not have miked the crowd that good because on TV the stadium seemed almost dead quite during most of the middle portion of the game. CBS usually rocks my 5.1 system with crowd noise, last they did not.

After the Arenas TD it was intense. Quite a bit louder than the opening Prothro TD against Florida. This is a really good thing considering how many LSU fans were there.

I watched the recording of the game when I got home, and the sound was nowhere near what it sounded like at the game. The sound quality for this game was way off.

The commentators are usually in a booth behind a glass window. The sound equipment also has the ability to cut out a lot of background noise. Itll never be loud on tv like it is in person.

My wife and I both noticed the crowd sounded pretty quiet on the broadcast. I assumed it was something CBS was doing because there was no way the crowd wouldn't be pumped for this game.

Eh, it was loud....at times. BDS is not nearly as loud as it 'should' be and that is the fans' fault. I got my section pumped up pretty much most of the game but a lot of them fizzled out and were exhausted (from the bad calls) and just kind of quit cheering. Kind of ticked me off that our fans just quit like that.

We as fans need to understand that fan noise does indeed make a difference. I don't care what anyone says, it does matter. If you're fans aren't rooting and you're a player, would you get that second wind in you to perform better? I doubt it unless you're a natural play maker.

I would really like to see BDS and UA fans be loud the entire game length. Of course its hard to do that when its a televised game because IMHO that kills momentum and crowd noise waiting on the stupid guy in the red hat to leave the field singaling they are back on the air.

To sum it up, yes it was loud (at times), but not nearly as loud as 92k+ fans should sound like. There are much louder stadiums out there.

I agree 100 % I guess I should have posted the title as "It was the loudest i've ever heard Bryant Denny."

Well for the second Sunday in a row (after a Bama game) I cannot speak correctly. I yelled literally the entire game and got some old timers pretty pumped up too. We were having a party in my section. After Arenas' TD I crowd surfed for about 2 rows, haha. It was a helluva time. I haven't had too many chances to go to Bama games so I am trying to make up for lost time.

I agree - the place was JACKED UP last night. When Javier ran that punt back, I thought the place was going to implode.

My buddy's wife said she thought it sounded kind of quiet on TV, too. That makes no sense to me. Guess CBS didn't want Bryant Denny to come off feeling and sounding like Death Valley - cause we all know (cause we've been told ad nauseum) that there is no substitute for DV on a Saturday night, right?

WHAT an atmosphere!!

Yes, it was definitely loud. Seems like after every big game though, the usual "this was the loudest game ever" comments pop up. I imagine that most recent big games (OU, UT, Fla, LSU) all are about the same decibel-wise during the big plays.

The game replayed on CSS today didn't muffle out any of the sound that's for sure.

J4Bama, I knew what you meant ;). I was just going on my own tangent comparing it to other large capacity stadiums ;).

+1 on losing the voice. I can't talk for anything. And also +1 on the Arenas return. My seat was in section N row 2 and I went nuts and ran down to the corner of the endzone with everyone else. I thought we were going to jump the fence and celebrate with the team :D
