I have mixed feelings as well. IMO, Steele coming back will likely only produce an above average season that will buy CMG some additional seasons as HC. Having said that, I wish nothing but a speedy return to the court for Ron. He's worked too hard not to have a successful senior season.

Steele is good enough to obscure real, fundamental problems with a team. He can carry a team on his back and will them to win. A lot of people feel this will give CMG a chance at a good season next year only to face total demise after Steele leaves because the source of the problem will still be in place.

Since I have been saying that CMG is not that talented as a BB coach for over half a decade I could care less. I can't make the change so screw it. If the PTB want the program to be the worst program in the SEC fine.

sure he feels good. sure he'll want to play as much as possible to increase his stock. but i think picking up steele and losing hendrix is almost a wash. i really feel that hendrix is a goner. who are we going to have down low..... coleman (he's no hendrix). all this steele thing is doing is buying cmg more time. he has been playing the injury card, next year will he be playing the draft card?

I also wish RS a healthy and speedy return to the court. Hope it is UA's court, but wouldn't blame him if he decided to try the draft this year.

In the past Bama needed RS to stay. Now he needs Bama to prove he is back. The NBA doesn't have seven rounds to pick its next stars. Ronald has NBA talent I just hope he still has NBA wheels after multiple trips under the knife.

I have a feeling Hendrix and Gee will be back. We could be a pretty good team in spite of coaching with a NBA-caliber PG running the show.

PG: Hollinger / R. Steele / Torrence
SG: R. Steele / Torrence / A. Steele
SF: Gee / Mitchell
PF: Hendrix / Green / Jemison
C: Coleman / Hendrix

I think we'll go with the backcourt from Steele's Sophomore year with him at SG but playing on the ball mostly on offense. Hollinger's shot has improved and Torrence is playing like he could be a capable bench combo-guard. LSU got to the Final Four a few year's back with Brady (who I never thought was even a decent coach)...so maybe it can happen in T-town?

IF, and i mean IF, hendrix and gee come back, and steele is 100% healthy, i think we will be a REALLY good team.

I can't see Gee going in to the draft being a good decision for him. I think he would end up like Kennedy Winston.

Hendrix on the other hand, should very seriously consider his options.

Where in the heck is Senario Hillman??? IMO he is better than Torrence--and the lil Steele is yet proven...So how do you leave someone that good and athletic out of the picture? :conf2:

Torrence has been putting up numbers lately and Hillman is a non-factor on offense except for fast break dunks. He might improve running the court with Steele though.
