Re: National Championship Predictions

I like to be cautiously optimistic. The only "if" I see is "IF" we can stay healthy. Remember what happened when Andre didn't play against Tulane. The left side just didn't move lie it should've. We still seems to be a bit of a drop off after the starters. A lot less than last year, but still..........
Nevertheless, it sure feels great.
Whadda ya think? We jump some folks in the polls and make the top 4 behind OU, LSWho and Missouri? Maybe number 5 behind Texas? That's being conservative.
Whatever....WOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOO RTR

OU has looked awesome. So have the Tide.Lots of football to be played but it's fun to project. It feels good to be looking at the top for Bama and not at Shreveport.Ive got to know that town too well in the last 2 years.

One game at a time everyone. 1 game at a time. We still have to get past Kentucky next week.

It is only september. Anything can happen.

Re: National Championship Predictions

Well, that's a fun read. We still have a tough schedule to play and I think we need to not get ahead of ourselves. Our special team play is terrible. Still it's fun to think about.

We don't have to get past Kentucky next week, our players do. Luckily we can talk anyway we want to and doesn't matter.

If message board comments effect our players then we've got bigger problems than worrying about a MNC.

Yes, I know it is very early...But, it really feels sweet to be out of September un-beaten'...Saban has done a remarkable job.

BCS National Championship Game

Jan. 8
Miami
BCS #1 vs. BCS #2
Comment: With Southern California loss to Oregon State on Thursday night and Georgia's loss to Alabama, we now predict Oklahoma will meet the Crimson Tide in the BCS National Title. The Sooners would be playing in their fourth national title game and trying to add a second BCS crown in the decade. USC's loss opens the door for the champion of the SEC now. Even with one loss, the SEC champ -- Georgia, Florida, Alabama or LSU could climb into the national title. The SEC has made its mark on the BCS title game, winning the last two (LSU in 2007 and Florida in 2006) and third in the past five seasons (LSU in 2004). Post your BCS Title Game prediction

Re: CBS Sports Bowl Predictions: BCS National Championship Game - OU vs. Bama

Alabama looked great in the first half, now if they played like they did in the first half all the way through the entire game they would be unbeatable. Unfortunately, it looked like they eased up and didn't play at full capacity in the second half, we beat a good team, Georgia is no slouch, but we do need to 'finish' games as Saban says.

We can't keep dominating people in the first half, and give up the second half, eventually we'll get beat if we keep doing that.

I think we are good enough to get to the SEC Championship, but I'm not going to get my hopes up on a National Championship, not just yet.

It's still a LONG way away, and we have to end a couple of streaks before we get there. With each passing week though, I like our chances a little bit more!

Re: CBS Sports Bowl Predictions: BCS National Championship Game - OU vs. Bama

There's still a LOT of football left to be played this year.

Just because we beat Georgia this week doesn't mean Kentucky won't pull an upset next Saturday. Bama has to come out ready to play and prepared for the next opponent on their schedule the same way they did tonight, or else they'll end up like USC or Florida.

They played great ball in the first half, then took some of the pressure off UGA's throats in the second half. They can't do that and get away with it every time. Like Coach said, hopefully they learn from it tonight. I believe they will.

With all that being said, it is at least nice to hear these sort of comments about Bama and to see UA in the spotlight for these sort of reasons.

Great job guys!

Time to focus on taking care of business with the Wildcats!
