Congratulations, Tide!

Every once in a while, we all get whipped pretty good...and when that happens, you just have to suck it up, admit it, tip your hat and go on. The Tide came out ready to play from the very first snap last night. CNS and his staff had an excellent game plan for this one and your players executed it perfectly. They didn't let the circus-like atmosphere or the attention bother them and they played with great discipline all game long. That's definitely to be commended. I'm sure you guys are all really proud of them and excited for them, as well you should be! The Tide played a great game last night and it will go a long way towards getting you guys back to where you all want to be. Bama should now be the prohibitive favorite in the SEC West and think that you guys will beat LSU and Auburn and get back to the SECCG. So, congratulations and best of luck! I hope everyone who came over to Athens had a great time and a safe trip.

Thanks Dawg we have waited a long time for this after suffering so long for the wrongful deeds of some big egos.
 
Absolutely uncalled for. Dawg gas been nothing but a gracious, respectful poster. It is true that some UGA fans are classless but the same could be said about Bama or any other SEC school. But at no time has Dawg said anything remotely classless but you took it upon yourself to be a sore winner and exactly the kind of fan you claim to despise. I'm sorry your mom got hit and I'm sure Dawg is too but don't take your frustration out on a fan who had nothing to do with it. I think apologies are in order and I'm sure the mods and admins will agree.

By the way Dawg thanks for the kind words and it was a great game maybe will see you guys in the Dome. Lot of football left to play. RTR.:BigA:

Thanks for you classy post. It takes class to post on a rival board after a loss. Good luck for the rest of the year (unless we meet again....)

As for the fight, I am almost positive this poster had nothing to do with it. I can understand your frustration, if anyone hit my mom their face would be left looking like UGA's
 
Dawg151 sucked it up and made a fine classy sportsman's post, and did it at a time that I know from experience had to be painful. But he gets this in reply?!?

Dawg, for all true Alabama fans, thank you for your post and for your sportsmanship. As shown by JosephSparks reply, it's all too rare no matter what school you cheer for. I hope you will judge the majority of replies you get, not this one outlier.

JS, this is not the way Alabama fans should conduct themselves. Fortunately, it's not the way the majority do. But the vocal minority sometimes gives us all a bad rep.

Classy post. And don't get down on your team too much. Georgia is a much better team than they looked last night.

BTW, if Bama makes it to the SECCG, and that's a pretty decent sized if, I really wouldn't want to face you guys again.

UGa is a very good team, and showed no quitting in the 2nd half. Tough bunch of Dawgs. Good luck the rest of the way.

Hate to hear about the fight, but unfurtunaly every fan base has those dumb fans that ruin it for everyone. Not fair to classify everyone in that category for a few bad apples. I completely understand your frustration, but I refused to let those bad apples ruin it for everyone.
If we did, those fools win.....

I hope we don't see UGA again in the SECCG... It will be hard to surprise them a second time. Part II will be a wire to wire fight.

College football needs a strong Alabama!!
 
Dawg , thx a lot . I really appreciate your post . If Ga wins out & the Tide handles the rest of the schedule , your team will get another shot . Not just @ Bama but , for the right to play for more than an SEC crown . Best of luck .
 
Thanks Dawg. This was my first trip to Athens, and my experience was a good one, despite the here and there drunk fans cursing. That's anywhere though. Good luck to your future games!!
