What bastions of courage!!!
Except when you remember:
- Gonzales only won his primary last time by 350 votes
- he's not considered conservative enough is part of why he has a primary now
- he's about the most unpopular candidate in the state overall
- he's in what (at least was) a very safe red district
Again, this is political contrivance, not courage. This is another "Al Franken needs to resign because his replacement will be a Democrat" tactic only by the other party.
If these Republican women are SO BOLD they don't care about the majority but do care about the victims,
WHY DON'T THEY GET ANOTHER 3 GOP PERSONS WHO ARE GOING TO LEAVE ANYWAY TO RESIGN IMMEDIATELY ALONG WITH THEM AND FLIP CONTROL TO THE DEMOCRATS?
They can use the Epstein File edits as an excuse.
THAT - I would consider courageous and standing up for something. This has more to do with making sure this guy gets wiped out in the primary for a more conservative guy. Plus, they know he isn't going to resign so it's easy to say it.
