I felt the same way about all those "thank you for your service" from young Republicans who supported the invasion of Iraq. Nearly all of them had "other priorities", but sure loved them some Tobey Keith machismo.

Again, I get your point, but Vietnam didn't exactly invade us as far as the verb "defend" goes.

I'm old enough to remember conservatives saying military service should be compulsory to be President - and since the PRIMARY reason we need a President is as COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF, a strong (non-constitutional) argument could be made for that.

I literally cannot argue otherwise, but to act as if the democratic party hasn't massively enriched it's chosen elect in the same manner is a bit biased.
Both parties are corrupt beyond comprehension at this point. They just attack our pocketbooks from different angles...
