    Thoughts on NIL

With Saban having an office in the stadium, what are the odds of him taking on an active role with NIL for the University? If it comes down to collecting money and sponsors, this would be a natural fit for him.

Bama Game Thread: Bama v Islanders Round 1 Postgame

Yeah, there were several times where Miller or Clowney reached or dove for a loose ball and got called for a foul that could have easily been a no-call. I will say for Miller, if his groin injury was slowing his legs down, and he tried to overcompensate with his arms/hands, that is an easy way...

    ROLL CALL - Who’s Going?

I should have bought them when they were $59 per ticket and just sold the second session and made a profit. But, I waited and it got too rich for my blood. Should be some good basketball in Birmingham on Thursday.

The NCAA Bracket Release Party -Sunday 5P CST

Are we the Session 1 or Session 2 group in the first round? I'm wanting to buy tickets, but I don't want to buy both just to be safe.

    Penalties (by the numbers)

Running an RPO offense with a QB who is mobile in the pocket will clearly lead to more opportunities for holding calls. That is why is crucial to get technique perfected in practice. So, ultimately this falls on the coaches making sure the players are taught correct technique based on the skill...

Alabama: CNS harping on I am going to call Jimbo

In the last 16 seasons, how many of these "bait questions" have actually been planted by CNS in order to give him the opportunity to tell his players/staff something they need to hear?

First offensive play against Utah State?

It will be some kind of RPO. Utah State will be playing safe to not give up the big play early, so it will be a hand-off for maybe 6-7 yards.

RB/TE/WR Depth going into Fall Camp.

I hope Bryce has been able to work with the WRs a lot this summer. That helps his timing with these younger WRs and helps them learn how to catch his passes. Every QB places the ball in their own way and they also have their own specific trajectories that WRs need to be comfortable with.

What College does Jalen Hurts Claim?

Jalen is a graduate of the University of Alabama. I don't believe he ended up graduating from Oklahoma with whatever master's degree he was taking classes for. So, because he didn't just bolt from Tuscaloosa, but graduated, and he only went to Oklahoma to get in one more year of playing time...

    EASports NCAA Football is back!

I'll have to save up to get the latest and greatest console whenever this game is released. My two most frustrating memories of playing EA NCAA Football were in Dynasty mode after updating the rosters with the current players. I was playing as Oregon, I believe, and was playing against Alabama...

    Daniel Moore’s Smitty painting.

I also love that he put Kent Gidley taking the famous shot that everyone saw that following morning. Kent has been at the University forever and is excellent at what he does. I remember him well from my time with the athletic department when I was in school from 2000-2004. Not sure if he has...

    No Olympics in 2021?

A-Day can just be a televised scrimmage like it always is, with limited fans. If the players can practice safely, they can scrimmage safely as well. We will certainly need the practice since we are breaking in new coaches and new freshmen early enrollees. How the athletic department decides to...

OT Best lunch stop in Tuscaloosa

It depends on what you want to eat. City Cafe is famous in the local area for being a great meat-and-3. If you want BBQ you can go to Archibalds for takeout...thank you COVID. You could also do the original Dreamland...not sure if they can do dine-in or not. If you want to kill 2 birds with 1...

Devonta has officially been Sabanized! (Reference to press conference)

All of this is a result of what the players go through from the first time they report for fall practice as freshmen. They are put through hell in order to form the bond necessary to give everything it takes to make sure your brothers next to you succeed. It changes players from a "me first" to...

Waddle working to return to the field (Final decision will be made tonight)

What makes Waddle so dangerous is his ability to separate due to his speed. If he can't accelerate or reach at least 90% of his top speed, he's not going to make the big plays that would benefit us. He also has to be careful to stay healthy for the draft. On the flipside, if he is healthy...

Should Taulia transfer to another school? [5/15 It's Official: Taulia to Maryland]

Tua doesn't need a "family fan club" in Miami like he had going into Tuscaloosa. I think Taulia needs his family right now as he is in the same position Tua was in early on. Tua was the "next man up" and he had the support and confidence to be a champion. Taulia was a champion in high school...

Former Auburn QB Pat Sullivan Dies at 69

My dad, never used tobacco in his whole life, was diagnosed with the same kind of cancer that Sullivan battled. Because of that, they made a connection and he was a great support for my dad. His wife and my mom also became friends and she was able to be a support person for my mom. I remember...

    2019-20 Coaching Carousel

Petersen would be a great fit somewhere in the Big 12...but I don't know that he will ever be a championship coach.

Third Saturday in October time announced

I'll be taking my son (7 years old) to this one. We're coming from Atlanta, so this game will technically be past his bedtime, but I think he'll be just fine. He's been begging for us to make it over and he has a respectable level of disdain for Twelversee given we've been beating them since...
