I'm really not sure how to react to the Panthers drafting Cam. Not sure if I can root for him. I've been a Panthers fan since I was in middle school but this is seriously making me reconsider.
I'm interested to see my fellow Tide fans' opinions on Upshaw. We all saw how dominant he was in both the Florida and Auburn games yet he hasn't been able to do this consistently (obviously his injury this year played some part in that.)
I don't think he gets the credit he deserves from our...
I remember thinking that something about him looked off. At one point I thought it looked like he was favoring one side of his body. I guess that's what it was.
I've seen people on various forums call out the coaches for the second half, but to me it wouldn't have been an issue if not for the points we left on the field in the first half. At least 10 points.
Julio, Ingram, Dareus, and Barron are all virtual locks to be drafted in the first three rounds so they're more than likely leaving.
I think NFL teams are still not sure about Hightower's role in an NFL defense; maybe he stays for another year to improve his stock? It'd probably be better for...
If he continues to grow I'm curious to see if he continues to follow the trend of near 7 footers like Kevin Durant playing on the perimeter or if he develops the strength to be more of a power forward. The years to come should be interesting to see under Coach Grant.
Funny that you would say that considering the reaction I got from saying he'd be a first rounder way back in October, and again in January. And yes, I have been waiting for this subject to come up again just so I could brag about being right. ;)
Depends on how he runs. Bad 40 times are killer for CBs in particular. If he has a respectable time there's no way he lasts past the 2nd round. Check out some of the draft forums and you'll see that most people are saying basically the same thing I am. I don't expect him to go in the first but...
If the committee projected him a mid 2nd-3rd round pick I wouldn't be surprised to see him go late first. They tend to be really conservative. As it is now there really isn't a clear-cut third guy at cornerback behind Haden and Warren.
Markus Manson, who originally played at Florida and eventually finished his college career at Valdosta State, was on the Carolina Panthers roster back during training camp. He didn't make the 53-man roster.
