Kentucky sure clipped their coach quickly. Clearly the common denominator among the top 4 is their multi-generational winning

Well, I would have thought Notre Dame would have slipped a bit, considering they've been patient enough to keep Weiss on this long.
My thoughts exactly. Even if there were not many coaches available last year for Notre Dame to pursue and if they are revered by everyone nationwide as the media claims they are (in fact the only loyal Notre Dame supporters I have ever come across are alumni or family of alumni), then getting whatever coach they wished should not be a problem.

It appears to me that the Notre Dame brand is not what it used to be, or what the media believes it to be.

I take this as a huge compliment! Pretty elite company. It makes sense these are considered "tough" jobs. The greater the potential/reward the greater chance to catch some heat when things go wrong.

But who is this Notre Dame Football they speak of?

Obviously Notre Dame is the toughest job. Look no further than their recent lack of success and long standing bowl record. Must be tough to win there.

ND should not be on this list .
