What is everyone's thoughts about this season?

I think that if we make it through Sept. with out a defeat, we might be in good shape. Maybe 8-9 wins.

I agree with you!! Just tired of not having the feeling that you have a chance in every game. The Shula era made me think back to the DUMBOSE ERA the way I always felt when he was in charge!:BigA:

I feel that well be in every game we play. We also were last year under coach Shula. But well win some in the fourth quarter with coach Saban. Hopefully those games will be over by the third with BAMA in the lead.:) :BigA:

I think mathematically we were "in the game" but I think we all came to realize if we were trailing in the 4th quarter the game was over.

Yea, that was awful I remember at first it was a feeling of we can come back, then it was we might come back, then it was we are due to come back in at least one of the games, to finally we are screwed if we are down in the 4th.

9-4?! Who are we going to lose to???

The schedule is pretty brutal: Arkansas, Georgia, F$U, UcheaT, LSU, at All-Barn plus a bowl game and 9-4 is very realistic.:)

On top of the schedule, throw in the fact that we are very, very thin in the front seven on defense (something CNS has mentioned on more than one occasion) and the fact the team must learn new offensive and defensive schemes and 9-4 would not be bad for this team in the first year under CNS.

I would be very surprised if we were to finish 10-3 or better.

Looking at the schedule, I'd say:

12 or 11 wins would require collapses by a couple of top opponents
10 wins is possible
9 or 8 wins is most probable
7 wins is possible.
6 or fewer wins would require collapses by Bama

I don't think one could consider Georgia, FSU, Tennessee, or even Vandy an automatic win. Vandy has made some significant strides the last two years. Do they have the talent of a team like Alabama? Of course not, but they're not the automatic win of several years ago! There will be some rough stretches next year! Personally, I think it will be similiar to Stalling's first year where we will sigificant improvement over the second half of the season after a rough start!

I don't see us losing to Arkansas, I think Georgia is considerably better than Arkansas and will probably be our toughest game in the first half of the season.
