Texas OL J.B. Shugarts lists Alabama among favorites

Looking for Chills
Although J.B. Shugarts denies a leader, he admits to favoring LSU, Florida, Ohio State, Michigan, Oklahoma, Texas A&M and Alabama. All of the offensive lineman's favorites have offered. He also has offers from schools such as Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, Duke, North Carolina State, Florida State, Miami, Auburn, Kansas, Georgia and many others.

Re: Alabama 2008 Commitments and Prospects List

Rivals now shows LB Jordan Futch from Chaminade Madonna College Prep School in Hollywood, FL as having an offer from the Tide.

Jordan Futch - Scout

One of the top linebacker prospects in South Florida for the Class of 2008, Futch finished his junior season with 82 tackles and eight sacks. He wants to play safety at the next level and has the athletic tools to try it but because of his size and growth potential, he projects as a linebacker.

Does that mean that he is just interested in us or that we have given him an official offer? I looked at his profile on Scout and the only offer they had listed for him was for Wisconsin. They had several of the same schools listed but did notr list an offer from any on them.

Re: Alabama 2008 Commitments and Prospects List

Yeah. The subjects of CS's last three posts and my last post all have offers. You cant always go by what one particular site says. The recruiting sites are often so slow to update offers that you really have to monitor more than one site to keep up with it. I watch Rivals, Scout, and even then Tidesports.com may break an offer that the other two dont have listed yet. Even as much as I watch, I cant keep up with them all. For an all-inclusive list you may want to consult CS or RTO22. :biggrin2: I have the offer list at 73 now but a few of them wont be on the updated prospect list at the beginning of this thread due to low interest in Bama or being committed elsewhere.

Re: Alabama 2008 Commitments and Prospects List

Scout now shows LB Chris Jordan from Brentwood Academy in Brentwood, TN as having an offer from the Tide. Looks like another good ball player. Rivals has him listed as an 'athlete' with the potential to play LB or RB.

Expected to be one of the top players in the southeast for the 2008 signing class.
Prepped at Norcross High school in suburban Atlanta before returning to Nashville, TN for the 2006 season.

Re: OT David Spurlock to decide between Tennessee and Alabama

Is this the school that plays at the stadium in Murfreesboro that has a HUGE crown in the center of the field?

I remember doing a drum corps show there and the crown was so large that you could only see the other teams torso and up.

If any athelete comes from playing at this stadium, he needs to be looked at...
Its like trying to climb a mountain crossing the field.

Re: Alabama 2008 Commitments and Prospects List

jeez! how many prospects does this northwestern miami team have?
Well they've got three on the Rivals pre-eval 100 alone (including Spence) so that should give you some idea as to how talented their team is.
