At this point, the 2008 schedule has not been announced. We do have the SEC schedule set in place. By doing some searching I was able to find some of the non-conference teams we will be playing just by going to their websites. We open with Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo on the 22nd of February. Click on the link and you will see the others.

I have to admit guys it's a little frustrating trying to get my website in order as far as the schedule goes. I believe we are the only SEC team that has not announced a 2008 schedule. I had some time so I went to baseball links website and started clicking on every team on the list. As you can see I was able to come up with a few teams we are playing. What's ironic is teams that we play every year non-conference like UAB,Jacksonville State, Samford, Southern Miss do not have their schedules out. Go figure.

It looks like it will be Texas-Arlington. I checked out Dallas Baptist's schedule and that was the other team listed. Rice is playing in the Minute Maid Park College Classic that weekend. It will be like you said, another weak non-conference schedule. But, Dallas Baptist is no pushover.

the thing about schedules like that is that you have to win every game out of conference to have a chance at regional play. off nights simply are not allowed. that's what hurt us last year, losing to teams like Tennessee Tech and Samford. It's OK to lose one of those when you have a good non-conference weekend (and win the series)

Alabama rotates every 2 years with a school from the east division. We rotate the same way Football rotates. Bama drops South Carolina on the rotation and picks up Kentucky. It is strange that we have played Georgia in more years than others. I'll take KY over SC. Maybe we can get better with this schedule. I like the SEC slate for the Tide this year instead of last year.

I wish SC had stayed on the schedule. For some reason, no matter how good they are or how bad we are, we seem to have some success against them.
