DT Garrison Smith narrowed his favorites list down to a Top 10 and Bama is not included. I removed him from the Bama prospect list.

Prospect Zack Underwood (OL, Albertville) has gotten offer from Louisville, but is leaning towards Vandy, according to article in today's Sand Mountain Reporter. Talked to SMR sports editor who interviewed him, and he said nothing about UA came up in interview.

Prospect Zack Underwood (OL, Albertville) has gotten offer from Louisville, but is leaning towards Vandy, according to article in today's Sand Mountain Reporter. Talked to SMR sports editor who interviewed him, and he said nothing about UA came up in interview.

I removed Underwood from the prospect list. I had left him on there because in late May he said that he was planning on camping at Alabama this summer. Obviously that did not happen and it is rather apparent that he is an OG/C prospect which Bama is not pursuing.

Colleges like Underwood

Underwood is allowed five official visits, and he hasn’t taken any of them.

He’s attended camps at Vanderbilt and Troy this summer, and he’s scheduled to participate in camps at Samford and Auburn this month.

C Brandon Linder has narrowed his list down to his final four and Bama is not included. I removed him from the Bama prospect list.

Sounds like he just wanted to stay closer to home, and I imagine the ACL injury certainly played a role in that.

I cannot help but wonder exactly what impact the ACL injury had on how he stacked up on everyone's overall board, particularly here at UA. From what I've read, he blew out his other knee as a sophomore, so it really does create some injury concerns here.

that makes me wonder why UGA decided to take him. as we all know, UGA neglects alot of their in-state kids for various reasons (Bowman, Ambles, there's more i just can't think right now. Peters maybe?), one being the overwhelming amount of talent that state produces on a yearly basis. i wonder what made CMR decide to take a kid with a bad knee and a torn ACL.

That is correct if Bama takes both ATH Devonta Bolton and DE Brandon Lewis that would be the maximum number of spots left for the 2010 class.

Wow. Filling up quick. Lots of big names left. Should be another great class. Do you think the new limit has something to do with it? or maybe alot of the kids want to get it over with because of the hype and distractions? Seems like recruiting, or at least the coverage of it, has gotten bigger and more intense every year. And that more and more recruits seem "wanna get it out of the way."

If Phelon Jones receives a scholarship from UA to play in 2010 he will count against that class. I know this year he has to sit out, but I am pretty sure he will count against the 2010 class.
