I heard his Mom did not make the trip, but that his Dad would play a bigger role in the decision.

You know, with the guys that could make up this d-line the sky is the limit to what we could do with our 3-4. We could really screw with some O-Coordinators minds in a couple of years (to put it a bit rudely).

This Eddie Vanderdoes is turning out to be one my favorite guys. He really loves Alabama. I hope he decides to attend school here.

I guess Eddie and his Dad are wrapping up their visit to Tuscaloosa. It will be interesting to see some comments coming from them later today. I really have my fingers crossed on this one and I'm not even stupersticious :D

I hope that he either A.) gave the staff a commitment, or B.) will announce early. He is my favorite recruit on the defense side of the ball

I know that he had a great time on the visit, but many of the national sites still think he stays out west with UCLA. What are the odds we land this kid?

Well, I don't know how up-to-date the recruiting sites choices are, but from everything that has been said from people close to the situation EV is leaving California no matter where he lands. I think ND and UA are his clear top two, with UCLA a close third. That being said, I just don't see us losing out on him since we got him on campus. Unless his Dad had some red flags in Tuscaloosa, I would say are odds are 75%.

I hope I have to eat my words on EV, but I know I seen him posting alot on twitter last night and he really seemed to love Tuscaloosa.

This is great news if true. That sounds like it will be a business decision, which bodes well for Bama.

I like our chances even more now. There is no doubt in my mind that Saban would set him up better as an early first round pick than UCLA or ND.

I wonder why the mom didn't come. It's all expenses paid. That concerns me some...
Could be due to a work issue or something like that. I agree though, I do worry that she may have made up her mind last week. While he makes the ultimate decision, I could see that weakening our chances.

I'm not trying to hate and want to be respectful, but I'm sorry, the odds are not 75%.

USC - 10%
ND - 25%
Bama - 25%
UCLA - 40%.

He still calls the UCLA coaches weekly. I mean weekly. Keeps them up to date on everything. And I have been following EV on twitter for awhile. He tweets similar things about each school after his visits. Heck, you should have seen his Washington tweets.

I don't discount the fact that 'bama is in the mix, as well as that his visit was spectacular. But it's not 75%.

You are likely correct about that. We are in the mix and have as good a shot as ND or UCLA IMHO.
