You are likely correct about that. We are in the mix and have as good a shot as ND or UCLA IMHO.
I mean I may be over-estimating our chances a bit (subjective bias), but I really think UCLA is still strongly in the mix.

I'm curious, how do you think the A'Shawn commit changes/alters things? I haven't followed his recruitment that closely.

I'm not trying to hate and want to be respectful, but I'm sorry, the odds are not 75%.

USC - 10%
ND - 25%
Bama - 25%
UCLA - 40%.
Unless your Eddie Vanderdoes, then your opinion means as little as mine. So if I say 75%, you can't argue I'm wrong...it's opinion, not fact.

Just saying...

It shouldn't play any factor. I think the ultimate goal may be to switch Robinson to offense.

I have no idea about each school's relative odds, but I don't think that weekly calls is all that exceptional.
Yeah, but when only one school is being reported to get them, it kind of makes a difference.

It means little, but I'm just going off of facts that I have accumulated throughout the recruiting season. Every school has felt great after each one of his visits because it seems he really puts everything into each visit. I can say that I think going to the school and posing with the heisman, while meeting Hightower, is pretty sick.

You obviously should be excited that it's being reported he had such a great visit. I'm just contesting the 75% odds, is all, nothing more. I definitely can't 100% say you are wrong. But I can provide facts to test its likelihood. It's still opinion, nonetheless.

It is opinion, no doubt. One thing which you are probably unaware of, but Saban's record, once he gets a prospect on campus is very, very impressive. He's selling the school and program, but he's also selling Nick Saban, winner of three of the last four NCs and four of the last eight. If you don't think that makes a difference for a kid wanting an NFL career, then you're drinking the blue and gold Koolaid....

Another thought - he may wax enthusiastic over each visit, but remember, this was his last visit. Out of curiosity, is this constant contact with the UCLA staff self-reported by Eddie, or is this some third party source?

It's subscription, but I found the 'bama one. Still, you won't be able to access it w/out a subscription. http://alabama.scout.com/a.z?s=14&p...edURL=http://alabama.scout.com/2/1258222.html

Other than that, it has come from 247 ND & other Irish Illustrated stuff, saying that EV calls Mora and other coaches every week.

Trust me, I really do give full weight to the power of a visit to Tuscaloosa. It does wonders, I'm sure. I just don't buy 75% is all.

Edit: And after his visit this weekend, I am willing to push his chances above ours. After our visit, I thought it was b/w ND & UCLA, with 'bama as a wildcard. Not so much anymore.

I've only read his tweets from Bama. Do you see any differences at all between his tweets from ND and Bama?

Answering my own question, folks who've followed his tweets from ND and Bama say that there was a marked difference in his tweets from ND and his tweets from Bama...

I think Coach Rumph is in home with him tonight, as this was his tweet 6 hours after he tweeted about leaving TTown...
Did we not already use an in home? Did coach Rumph fly back with them? :conf3:

I know the dead period starts in two hours so if this is true I guess it is a very good sign.

I may be 100% wrong. But I think he is referring to watching film previously with CR. I am pretty sure he did not get an in home visit tonight from UA.
