You know that will be the 2:30 CBS game....
Yep, that will probably be the first CBS broadcast of the year and it should be a good one. However, like you said, it's gonna be a warm one. I was hoping that our first trip to Kyle would be against a scrub A&M team that we dismantled at Bryant Denny the year before so tickets would be easy to get. However, this game is gonna be so hyped up that I am sure College Gameday already has their spot set up. $350 might get you into the nosebleeds if your lucky.

Yeah, just looked at stub hub and $315 will get you in the upper endzone while $425 will get you lower sideline on the BAMA side. Looks like the tickets on the BAMA sideline are in the visiting section, only problem is the seats are the first 25 rows and some of them are beyond the endzone. They also moved their student section to comply with the SEC rule regarding students outside the 30 yard lines and not within 25 rows of the field therefore, you very well may have aTm students behind the visiting section.

You know that will be the 2:30 CBS game... Nothing like mid 90's and 80% humidity... Good news is our team will be conditioned to play in it. We are driving down in the RV Friday AM. If I can't find tickets under $350 I will watch from the parking lot.

For those with RV's, single game parking passes are only sold to lot 88 and go on sale 7/5 and range $70-$90 depending on spot. You must register for a parking account to be able to buy one, when you register you need your SSN, DL#, & RV plate#. One disclaimer I saw is the RV individual game lot is a grass field, should it rain, the lot may be closed. You will get a refund but, have nowhere to park.
I have some Aggie friends I can tailgate with so maybe just hookup with them.

I think the hype will be huge. Biggest game in the state in 40 years.

Maybe too early in the season for CBS? They have U.S. Open tennis until mid-September. Some chance the A&M game could be ESPN primetime. Even if on CBS, they get one primetime game each season and seems like this would be the obvious choice.

U.S. Open ends Sept 9th... In regards to the night game on CBS when they swapped with ESPN to get it in 2011, wasn't part of the deal they had to take it 2012 and 2013 as well?

As I recall CBS wanted to move the 2011 "Game of the Century" to prime time even though they had already used their one prime time slot for that season. Bama was in favor but LSU objected because they hate it when CBS repeatedly moves LSU's night home games to the afternoon slot. So CBS had to commit that they would show the 2012 game in Baton Rouge in prime time. I'm not aware that there's any sort of deal affecting this year's Bama-LSU game.

However, CBS also had to make some concessions to ESPN to use that additional prime time slot in 2011. As a result, ESPN gets to pick ahead of CBS for a certain number of times. I don't know if ESPN has used up all those picks but if they have any left I'm sure they would want our game in College Station this year.

Bottom line, there could be a good chance of a night game one way or another.

As long as it doesn't start at whatever godawful time the Ole Miss game started last year I'm fine.

I'm definitely headed to Kentucky game with my guaranteed A-club tickets. Oct 12 weekend the Thoroughbreds will be running at Keeneland. If you've never been, you need to treat yourself. Great way to spend a Friday afternoon - mint juleps and ponies!

If that is opening weekend at Keeneland, the horses will be top local sports story, not the football game.
