It is a little surprising that no one has bought Patterson from TCU.

I think he's been approached multiple times - the word is that apparently he loves it at TCU and wants to be the guy who built that program from the ground up. As long as TCU pays him competitively, I don't see him leaving.

He's actually smart to stay at TCU. If he goes somewhere else, he will have hard time winning.

Interesting. I thought they could have gotten a bigger name given their current position (arguably the best group of five gig available) but can't hate on this hire. Heupel clearly knows how to coach offense.
