A lot of talk the last few days that Coach O really upset a lot of coaches and recruits in the DMV area when he dropped their DE commit from St Frances Demon Clowney (Jadeveon's cousin and Alabama signee Chris Braswell's teammate). We are seeing it come to fruition.

Naw...I did predict him to Bama but that was contingent on Bama making a big push. I know Pegues spoke to Coach Saban yesterday, and there was word that Alabama would be pushing in the afternoon, but that talk died down in the evening. The source that I got that from is not one for sour grapes. If Bama pushed and missed, he would have been straight up and said it.

I hope Bama can get Arian Smith now, or a grad transfer WR... unless both Ruggs and Smitty stay.

I read on another thread one of the WR from OU is in the transfer portal.

I will be driving around the time Jase M announces... sure hope Bama can get him at RB instead of OU. I will have to pull over and check my phone shortly after his announcement time. lol

There is only so much room on the football field. Webb would have expected to start (I'm guessing) - but why risk losing other kids in the meantime.....

If he was a prime need at another position where we didn't have incoming depth, it would bother me more

This. We have an epic LB class, our best ever IMO, and like you said he would have been icing. Hopefully we get McClellan to flip, sign Arian Smith and Washington (when he decides to announce) and call it a day. Holding my breath on Timothy Smith.

Pegues wasn’t a good fit for Bama’s offens he’s not a down the field threat. Would’ve been good to have a different skill set but we’d still need a longer better route running body running seem routes. He’ll fit good in Auburn’s Gimmick offense. RTR
