2023 Recruiting: 2023 Recruiting Targets

for all we know is that they signed because of Saban, but it could be some honey they met last Summer, or a restaurant that makes the best burger, or he liked the S&C trainers.

So, I'm looking at the current targets for Bama right now and I know there are few we don't know about, so I'm just assuming at this point:

Keon Keely- I thought he was going to commit after his visits.. but haven't heard much about him in recent weeks.
Caleb Downs- I think he sticks with us.
Desmond Ricks- I think he's a lock for LSU, but never say never.
Smith/Russaw- I think we're in good shape.
Peter Woods- I'm curious about where we are with him. Several folks indicated that we're still working on this.
Malik Muhammad- I think we flip him.
Suntarine Perkins-I think We flip him.
Rueben Bain- I'm not sure.
Devin Hobbs- I think we're in good shape, but I'm guessing.
Kadyn Proctor- Good chance we could flip him
Kelby Collins- Currently Commited and I don't know where we are with him.

I don't know if there are anyone else we're targeting that's committed to another team:

I've heard several rumors about a high profile QB that may enter transfer portal. I'm not going to elaborate on that.

BTW, do we have a Transfer portal thread here under recuiting since technically, Bama are recuiting players to transfer to Alabama?

Info on Daevin Hobbs from another board. Don't like it but here it is.
“This could be the biggest, I think, of them all,” Simmons said Monday during On3’s Inside Scoop recruiting show. “Georgia came into this one trailing not only Tennessee, but likely Alabama as well. I think Georgia at least passed Alabama this weekend; they may have passed Tennessee as well. You have let the visit high settle for a few days, maybe recheck your sources in the middle of the week.

…But I talked to Hobbs himself this morning when he left, and I talked to multiple sources throughout the weekend connected to Georgia. Everything went basically 10 out of 10 for Hobbs, and I think he liked what he saw in the team, liked what he saw in visit as far as the culture. I think it’s Georgia-Tennessee right now battling for that top spot, and Georgia could be trending a little bit. Again, it’s pretty quickly coming off the visit, but I like where Georgia is at.”

Or a trusted Bama poster on another website that was reported last week. UGA is going to cherry pick our class and steal all our 5* recruits. We need to stop posting about unnamed sources that are not him or his family.

If they don't get Bain, Smith or Hobbs and can't flip Collins, they sure better have a good d-line class in 2024.

I don't think we go 0-fer on these targets and even if we do we have Renaud, Osborne and Hill in this class. Sure better is not really appropriate IMO.

My comment had nothing to do with quality of the guys currently commited. I was only saying I think they will need more d-line guys in 2024 because of the numbers.

I was being a wise butt based on some of the recent comments of some of our posters quoting unnamed sources that UGA is going to flips some of our top recruits. Should have put it in blue font.
