From knowledgeable and proven posters on other threads, it would appear that BOB was up front with Sayin that there’s a good chance he (BOB) wouldn’t be around for Sayin’s time in Tuscaloosa.

Kudos for BOB. A statement like that in the recruiting process is tantamount to saying, “Son, the odds are I’ll be somewhere else.”

So I’m not sayin’ it’s a 100% bet that Sayin sticks.

He’s from California, and it’s over a year until the early signing date for his class. That’s a long way, and in today’s world of recruiting, an eternity of time. So I’n not sayin’ it’s 100% that Sayin signs in December of 2023.

I sincerely hope he does. But if we lose him, it won’t be because BOB is no longer in Tuscaloosa.
From Sayin himself,

Bama fans don’t need to worry about Sayin wavering either.

“I’m going to be shutting things down,” he said. “I’m not going to be taking officials to other schools.”

With a top QB on board this early, Bama should be in contention for some blue chip WRs in the '24 class. Way too early, of course, but anyone have insight into which receivers Bama is after?
things are always subject to change, this the list of top targets for 2024:

Jeremiah Smith, Chaminade-Madonna Prep, Wide Receiver (247sports.com)
Micah Hudson, Lake Belton, Wide Receiver (247sports.com)
Ryan Pellum, Millikan, Wide Receiver (247sports.com)
Mylan Graham, New Haven, Wide Receiver (247sports.com)

don't forget we have a great one in the fold from Alabama:

Perry Thompson, Foley , Wide Receiver (247sports.com)

And a 5* TE out of GA. It's day two of the commitment of Sayin and I'm already sick of the sayin jokes/comments. Going to be a long 4-5 years if this continues ;)

Add Mike Matthews to this list. Think the interest is very real between him and Bama and maybe more realistic than the Smith-Trader duo in Florida. KJ Bolden too -- I know he plays both ways at a high level. Don't know if we are recruiting him as a safety, receiver or both.

SanJose, I meant to ask about class of 24... Are the staff trying to secure commitments earlier than usual, due to NIL?
I think these early 24' commitments is mostly due to kids who want to be part of the Alabama program/ culture and the staff obviously are high on them not only on talent but character and are willing to take the verbals early. NIL is a monster in the room that can't be ignored. But the method that is being applied at the moment seems to be working and I don't see it changing as long as Saban is running the show.

a few things help being able to prove they will make a lot of money if they earn it Ala Will Anderson/Bryce etc. The current model wont work just wait until the transfer portal this offseason. If you signed a multi-year deal it's good anywhere and if not honored will be sued and NCAA issues. Also, the to biggest players in NIL are 4-4 & 3-5 so not exactly working out well for them.

Don't know a whole lot about Sayin yet, but seems like a Ty Simpson type guy?
Not real big, needs to feel out his body, good all around athlete with a nice arm.

With him being a Sayin, will he transform into a Super Sayin, or maybe he'll go ultra instinct in a few games. If he ever does lose, just remember he'll get a zenkai boost and come back stronger the next game.
If he is injured just have the trainer keep a bag of senzu beans in his pocket. Good as new immediately.
