Here's one thing I'll admit I wonder:

Are our candidates REALLY worse than they used to be, did we REALLY let the sliding scale go so far that a prisoner could run for office and win...or do we just know more about the sliminess of human beings because of our interconnectivity?

I'm inclined in a sense to think both are true to some extent. (

No, I think they are profoundly worse candidates. There was some desire to present your self as a statesmen before. Now, that is woke establishment.
