We have not heard much about QB recruiting in the '26 class. When you sign the #1 QB in the '25 class I can see us not being in on the elite QB's in this class. It looks like we are talking to 3* QB Matt Ponatoski from Cincy.

We can add the #1 LB Xavier Griffith to the list. He has an OV from June 6-8.
Here's the interesting bit, he just decommitted from USC where he's been verbally committed since July 2024.
The staff has been on him heavily and it might just pay off.

Also not considering UGA. I really really like our chances. His teammate is a commit ( coach a former player) Edmonds changed his OV plans just to be here with him . ( yes it’s been going on that long )

More info on Xavier Griffin from Wiltfong. Looking real good as of now.


One former five-star USC commit has become the hottest prospect available for 2026. All after his decommitment.

Now, one historic college football team is the "program to watch" for Xavier Griffin.

Steve Wiltfong of On3 dropped new intel about Griffin's sudden open recruiting process Tuesday. The recruiting insider unveiled the multiple national title winner gaining steam as Griffin's newest leader.

"Alabama is positioned well moving forward," Wiltfong began. "From the relationship with Christian Robinson and the staff and the ties to Tuscaloosa with his grandfather working right down the street from campus, a lot of things make sense regarding Griffin and the Tide."

Is it just me, or does it seem like we are falling behind in recruiting this year? From reading, it looks like Alabama is just a hat on the table for a lot of these guys. I would feel better if some would actually committ , even if they don’t really mean it in this era of NIL. Hopefully, here is to a successful June . Cheers.
