2026 Recruiting

  • HELLO AGAIN, Guest! We are back, live! We're still doing some troubleshooting and maintenance to fix a few remaining issues but everything looks stable now (except front page which we're working on over next day or two)

Thanks for your patience and support! MUCH appreciated! --Brett (BamaNation)

if you see any problems - please post them in the Troubleshooting board!

One really concerning stat for Kawaa is his int's. 9 is high so he needs to work on his accuracy. He does look good otherwise and will be a nice addition.

slightly above avg but high volume and still a 3:1 ratio. Will have to see what he does this year. Who knows how many were tipped up and stuff. I think avg for higher level recruits (4 plus stars) is 4-6 int.

Good evaluation from 247. Hopefully he performs better than DJ did.

"Kaawa is a massive quarterback prospect with a frame that reminds us of former Clemson/Oregon State and Florida State signal caller DJ Uiagalelei. Big frame and stand all of 6-foot-5, 240 pounds and has no problems driving the ball down the field. Operates primarily out of the shotgun and shows the ability to pick a part a defense and had a very productive junior season after transferring in to Orem. For his size, Kaawa is not a bad athlete and shows the ability to take off and run on designed zone read plays and can extend plays when the pocket breaks down as well. Can throw from different arm angles and is comfortable throwing rolling out to his right or his left. Needs to continue to progress in his ability to make quick reads, process the game and get the ball out on time but there's some upside here because of the physical traits. Also a talented baseball player, good enough to potentially double sport in college but will likely focus on football at the college level."

Mack should have been challenging Ty for starter, not holding off Russell for backup. He might progress some this summer, but it does seem he might be the one moving on.
i think his problem is that he reclassified. He just turned 19 last month, so he's not really behind schedule or anything like that. It seems to have worked out okay for Ryan Williams, but that extra year is probably more important for QBs, and he was still pretty raw when he made that decision.. Maybe it ends up working out okay for him, but there are a lot of guys that reclassify these days, who probably shouldn't.

I feel like he made the right decision. He would've been a starter at Washington. I don't know if he made the right decision to transfer to Alabama, but at end of the day he's being developed into a starter. I think he'll be fine no matter what happens.

I feel like Mack has been challenging Milroe and Simpson last year. The potential is there and he really pushed Simpson this spring. Simpson is the starter for obvious reason but I wouldn't be shocked if the staff give him some reps this fall just to put tapes out there for him come December.

Russell is very good and ceiling is high but I still think he got long way to go. The competition is going to be intense next spring.
