Stop blaming the dismal running to unhealthy, worn-out RBs.
Even when healthy, Jam et al were ineffectual-Kevin Riley was the only back that showed a burst of speed through a tight opening.

Unfortunately so... And typical of this year that Riley is out. Although we also seem to go back to Jam over and over, even when he is having a terrible game. I'm assuming Dear just has pass pro issues, because he and Hill would make a good duo with widely divergent skill sets.

I remember him only because on his OV to Bama back in October 2024, word was he was going to commit to us soon after the visit only to change his mind when the barn came in with more $.
Well, that was not money well spent. Let's see if staff still has any interest in him.

IMHO Daniel Hill is an option you want to have for the backfield, particularly so inside the red zone.
He’s too vertical, but then again, most of our guys do the same.

I would take him as a sledge hammer, but they all need a little more vision for these lanes that do open on occasion.

That’s the frustrating part of the running game conundrum: it’s not just one part that’s broken.

How many of us are expecting Ryan Williams to transfer? Im about 50/50 on it. Part of me thinks DeBoer will ensure he stays but part of me believes he looks for a fresh start.

I think it’s at least 50/50.

Jmo but he’s never going to make at Bama with this current staff.

He never should have been allowed to have such poor fundamentals for so long in the first place.

He needs tough coaching from a tough position coach and a tough head coach.

To remain here he should take a massive pay cut and get to work.

I’ve posted the stats elsewhere and I don’t feel like taking the time to dig them back up but he’s being paid Top 3-5 WR in CFB money when he’s not even producing Top 25 SEC WR results.

We can not continue to overpay like that for ‘potential’.

It’s extremely poor roster management financially.

I’d rather just wish him well elsewhere and give us a fresh start too with some extra funds we can apply elsewhere.

I think Williams stays. He clearly needs to work on some things and moving to a new team will put him further behind the 8 ball. If BW is to succeed at the wideout position there will need to be a need for patience and hard work on all sides. I think Coach will put in the effort to keep him on board.

I think if he does he needs to take a payout and L. Brooks deserves a big raise. We cant afford to lose Brooks over money.

I think everyone is focusing little too much on Ryan Williams and his NIL deals. It feels like we're counting his money and demanding he take pay cut. It's ridiculous. That's lot of attention on one guy and if we should complain, we should be complaining about OL room, the RBs, Domani Jackson, Sabbs, and etc.

Some of us forget that He has NIL Deals with the following companies:

New Era
Beats by Dre
Nike
Sally Hansen
Hollister
Uber Eats
Rising Tide youth Football
EA

Those deals are worth 1.6 Million. That's not including what Alabama is offering him as NIL deal, but I don't think it's a lot. The fact he got the NIL deals outside Alabama speaks a lot and I think we're okay with him.

Brooks will ink few NIL deals outside Alabama and he deserve it.

IMO, Courtney Morgan got this. He has an idea of who's leaving/staying/and managing NIL budget.

I believe we'll see few players from Alabama entering the portal, and some of them will be the one you guys will be upset with, but the potential talents coming in outweigh that. Ryan Williams will be fine. We're in good hands with our WR groups and I believe there will be some adjustments made in the offseason with how they run routes, catching the ball, and eye disciplines.

I've said this before and I will say this again: I believe the staff should focus on improving the OL, DL and RB the most. Depth for other positions.
