Link: 2026 Transfer Portal

We need lineman on both sides so maybe. We also lose all 3 middle linebackers so a portal seems all but certain there too. 41 has been a great pick up from Colorado this year. Love the way he closes
Sounds about right. LBs- I think we're okay, but we probably take one for depth. Doubt we would look at auburn OL players, especially the one that can't hear the snaps. He's good for 4 false starts a game.

Golesh is a good coach but he better be a genius or hes screwed in year 1 with that level of micro management there
I mean doing it the way they’ve always done it they will get what they always get.

I think they hired a coach who thought he would get to do things that needed to be done to get the program headed back in the right direction.

Seems he was wrong, and I couldn’t be happier about it.

Of the ones you mentioned, Woodyard was a Bama commit at one point. He was a 4* coming out of Hs and has lost a star being in that cesspool in Lee County.
Yes, him and the left tackle were the two I was most interested in! Could come in and likely start right away or at least add early rotation depth. I wouldn’t mind taking a look at Perry Thompson also but WR is a position of much less need.

Article suggesting Austin Mack transfer to Michigan State. Just guessing or real info...who knows.

Mack to MSU
I wouldn’t necessarily see that as surprising if it indeed happened. If Simpson returns, it is almost assured Austin transfers somewhere and Sheridan now as OC at Michigan State would be a logical connection. Also many see Russell being the heir apparent to the starting QB position at some point. The question for Keelon is one of being willing enough to sit in the backup position for another year if Ty comes back?

Additionally I’m not going to be surprised to see a player or two transfer to Oregon State to follow Shepherd.

Did Russell play in four games this year? If not, he can redshirt and still had a lot of playing experience for a true freshman.

Whether Ty Simpson returns or not, I think Mack is likely gone either way. But at same time, I don't think Russell is ready just yet. Either way, 1 or 2 QB will transfer.

Don't we also have a top-ranked QB in this year's recruiting class?

Top-ranked QB in Nebraska - which given current circumstances is sort of funny in itself, even funnier next to Matt Rhule's new $80M contract for upholding mediocrity for the Bugeaters, regardless of cost.
