Link: 2026 Transfer Portal

So far, Golding is handling himself much better than I ever expected as a head coach, especially given the circumstances he’s dealing with coaches who plan on staying and others who are leaving for LSU. I also wonder whether any of the coaches who plan to leave are trying to recruit OM players to LSU while they’re still on staff.
i hope they don't get caught up in a bunch of nonsense. they balled out last night and i hope they are somehow able to finish the job

Hollywood Smothers, RB from NC State to visit Tuscaloosa. Also being reported that Cam Coleman is scheduling a visit as well.

I still think Coleman is a long shot, but at least we get a chance to pitch him.

I would at least hope that adding Derek Nix from the Auburn staff would give us an inside track to one of the Auburn WRs in the portal…Simmons, Coleman or Thompson.
Daylan would be a huge get. If you are looking for a home run hitter with some twitch, he is that guy. Think Alvin Kamara type playmaker.

Richard Mullaney also transferred for a year in 2015... Both were good rotational guys.
we have mostly succeeded with transfers for TE ... I can only think of Miller Forristal and OJ we recruited out of high school

positions we need transfers -
OL (75 %), TE (75%), WR (10%), DL (50%), LB (75%), Kicker (75%)
% means for eg OL 3 out of 4 in that position group

Do you believe that Courtney Morgan is moving money around with current roster and that's why we might see some people we would like to keep entering portal? Noah Carter is one we don't want to lose.
good question. From what I am reading, more NIL will be averted to defensive players esp. on the DL. Carter was a Washington transfer if you recalled. he was 3rd string and saw limited action in mob up duties. if they allowed him to go without a fight is because they believe they have better talent already on the roster as well as the incoming class (Matthews and Howard). for example, Justin Hill who I think has a bright future is only a freshman and he saw more playing time than Carter and that to me is a clear indication where things stand on the pecking order.

Three plus years into full transfer portal chaos, and it’s still hard for me to wrap my head around treating the players like NFL players, but I guess that’s where I’ve got to get to be emotionless when it comes to roster management. Can’t have feelings one way or another when a player leaves regardless of whether it’s a 3rd string player or two year starter.
