We had Oline that couldn't do the one thing they are supposed to be able to do. We had receivers that constantly dropped passes, again the one thing they are hired to do. We have coaches that are not exactly the best at in game decisions, so some of us are actually questioning whether or not the staff can evaluate talent. If Adams is as bad as you think, why was he out there returning punts?
I didn’t say he was bad. Said he didn’t beat anyone out for PT as a wr. He did well for the most part catching punts. Was not at returns but that could be on the special teams coach too. So fans saying he is a loss based on his history and not seeing him practice doesn’t make sense. Again 13 catches in 3 years doesn’t scream loss and he kept getting passed over by players. Maybe the freshman coming in and practicing showed him to move on. We don’t know.

Recruiting is no longer the path. Rebuilding a team each year with juniors and seniors and a few underclass men who play over their heads. That seems to be the new path.

Like it or not.
Regrettably, I agree with Cajun's post. I have said in at least 3 posts that CKD needs to spend more time searching the portal to replace lost players. Outside the obvious rebuild of the OL and DL he needs to find an experienced QB to go along with Russell. Mack is not the answer and no one knows what Simpson will decide to do. If Simpson does not return and Mack jumps to Michigan State with Sheridan, then we have Russell backed up by two true freshmen QBs. SMH

Remember he got injured in the Mizzu game last year, and he was playing a good bit then. He may have been still a bit injured this year. Injuries sometimes aren't always physical, there is a mental aspect as well.

We had a supposedly injured QB and the backups never saw the field either. So I gave up questioning why players weren't getting PT.

If he transfers so what? There is no loyalty anymore. He is 3rd string and no hint he is even close. Now could the coaches be wrong? Maybe, who knows? The whole transfer portal has me more cynical than ever before. I just don't care anymore. Some transfers surprise me, some don't. It doesn't matter anymore. I am still watching Alabama games and still interested but it will not take much more for me to quit and never watch another game.
I’m probably a bad Bama fan. I watched 0 % of the Georgia game live. I watched very little of the OU game live. I watched the Indiana game, planned on watching the entire game, but after the failed fourth down attempt on the second drive, I didn’t see the point. What do those games have in common? We had family over and I would rather spend time with my grandkids. I the years past, they had to just understand Bama was playing. That just doesn’t carry the same weight with me anymore. And it’s no that we aren’t winning the same, family took a backseat to the DuBose through Shula years. It just doesn’t have the same appeal.
Those in charge really need to take notice. And while TV ratings are supposedly skyrocketing, those are more casual fans than the die hard, spend money fans form past years.

Someone needs to tell CKD bc clearly his philosphy is to build his team through HS recruiting. Maybe he alters that some but his priority has been bringing in talent through recrutitng.

So does Kirby. 90% of UGA's roster are players they recruited out of HS. I think even the best coaches are still trying to figure out how to best build a team in today's landscape.

All Season on those 3rd down and less than 5 yards to go, how many times did we attempt to throw to Williams? One of the RB's?
Cole Adam's had sure hands, line him up in backfield as RB or just off the TE's hip and run a turn route for the first down.
Look at Hunter Renfroe at Clemson or Raiders or Panthers, 70% first down gained rate.

Does he? Morgan’s role is to manage the roster. If your primary is HS recruiting then that role isn’t as critical.

Thus far they have managed the portal c very poorly other than the UW players that came.

Perhaps he’s a bad talent evaluator and has been thriving off other people’s evaluations.

Hence only staying 2-3 years at all past stops.
