If so we are rapidly approaching a grad of F- on this year's portal. Ugh.

I hope they pull a rabbit out, but I feel like we just fumbled the second half kickoff and went down by 3 TDs...

We botched it? Only if we got outbid, which is the only way he would change his mind.

The only Portal contacts that are being widely reported are the highest ranked players, so how do we know we aren't extremely active right now? Do you know somebody in the program that is telling you this

I’m not totally aware of how it works but, he has to have something to show by the time spring ball comes around

We need the guys, whomever they are, on campus and going through spring ball. Summer enrollees will not help early.

Wow. That is troubling. Many times that is associated with things like Marfan’s Syndrome and EDS.

As someone who suffers from Ellers Danlos Syndrome, it definitely has impacted what I choose to do…and not do in my life.

Everything that made CFB unique and appealing has changed. I can’t stand the NFL but at least there’s some type of structure in place and that’s what’s driving real fans crazy

Former Mercer DB Carmelo O’neal has committed to Alabama out of the NCAA transfer portal, On3 has learned. O’neal visited Alabama on Jan. 8 but also held interest from Cal, Auburn, LSU and Kentucky.

I've never seen so many Alabama fans so negative.

Seems like some need to become Indy fans because they are love with CC.

I wonder if they noticed that Indy beat Oregon even worse than they beat us?

I think 99% of the negativity about CDK is our fanbase not being able to come to grips with an up-start Indiana program that is being coached by an ex-Saban assistant.

We have come to the point that every time we lose a game it is a fireable offense. Will Oregon fire Dan Lanning after last night's game???

Since we are effectively in pro football now, it appears our staff has just decided to play with a 53 man roster to get ahead of the curve of everyone else...

I know the portal closes on a week but you can still sign players after the portal closes. But these kids have to enroll in a school for the semester. Or are they just going to not go to school for a semester until they find a new landing spot?

Yeah. I believe the articles have said he "committed" to Alabama and not signed with Alabama. 2 very different things.

I didn't know the Colts played last night.

I'll be honest with you. My biggest issue, right now, with CKD is his demeanor. He has no fire in his belly and acts like he has no clue as to what is going on. Especially during a game. I know we can't or shouldn't fire him right now. But things can't continue the way they are. If we take a step back next year he should be gone.

I'm one of them that has said it and I will continue to say this as much I need to. We do need to be patient and just let the process play out. Alabama does not have that huge NIL budget like Texas, Ohio State and "Indiana" has. They can't just go throw out 6 million dollars at a player. They're grabbing players on Defense side with no issue, It's the OL line I'm concerned with and how they're struggling to lock them in. One guy they got him on campus but didn't offer him. Just land 2-3 OL players and I'm happy. I want the young guy to develop and I want some veteran mixed in.

I'm not impatient, despite what others have posted in response to some of my posts here. I am merely expressing how I have very little confidence that this staff is going to actually get all this to work out in the end. I'm not just talking about the portal, although that is priority 1 right now of course. They've done very little to inspire any confidence that they can pivot and adjust when things don't go quite like they plan for them to go, and that includes on the field as well. It seems to be a troubling pattern, but perhaps I'm wrong, and believe me I sincerely hope I am. We'll find out soon enough either way.

The line is critical path in my opinion, on both sides of the ball. If we don't get what we need there, the rest doesn't matter much.
