24 team CFP proposal by Big Ten Conf

So all the top programs who we know before the season will make the playoff would play a whole regular season just to determine home field advantage for the playoff. Not much to get excited about.

Some months ago, only partially tongue-in-cheek, I suggested a 128 team playoff.

Nine regular season games followed by a playoff needing 7 rounds. A maximum of 16 games. Same as today’s max (12 reg season, 1 CCG, and 3 playoff games).

I thought it was using satire to illustrate absurdity.

Turns out, it might be prescient — kind of like the movie Network.

Dang.....24 teams. All about revenue generation

I guess sin the Big 10 has won the last three NCs, they feel like they have more clout that anyone else.

If this did happen, I see absolutely no reason to keep a nine-game SEC Schedule...
