BREAKING 5* RB Ezavier Crowell commits to Bama

The story of Derek Henry, which I've mentioned before applies. His freshman year, the coaches were on him about learning pass protection and he said to CNS, "Have patience with me. In HS they just gave me the ball and told me to run" (paraphrased).

That's what kept DH off the field so much in his freshman year!

I saw one of his TD runs highlights, and he got tackled from behind and it look like a hip drop tackle. Glad he wasn't hurt!

He has a lot of upside if he keeps his head on straight. The St. Michael game was the real championship game though. They had him boxed up a few times and he still broke for big plays.

I think he officially broke the state single rushing total as well in the championship game.

Crowell will be good/great in time but since he should be a senior in High School next year I really hope they can snag a proven back in the portal. I am just not seeing it in AK Dear or D Hill.

Not sure how you are not seeing it with Dear since he has only had a handful of touches. #2 RB in the nation last year and just not enough to be judging him yet.

I know Crowell can’t play in the CFP. But any idea when he can join the team for practice?

Postseason practices were invaluable for J. Hurts as a true freshman, even though he couldn’t actually play in the postseason.

When Blake Barnes imploded in the USCw opening game, there’s no way Hurts could have performed as he did without those December / January practices under his belt.

When Blake Barnes imploded in the USCw opening game, there’s no way Hurts could have performed as he did without those December / January practices under his belt.

I believe we would need to make it to the semi finals of the playoffs for him to get practice time. I don't think they can enroll until early January.
